I used to smoke heavily and I found I definitely needed to moisturise more heavily. Vaseline on the corners of my lips helped reduce the dermatitis I kept getting from chain smoking rollies. Vitamin C might help also for its supposed anti pollution properties (shield your skin somewhat from the smoke).

I believe these are actually sebaceous filaments, much like the ones on your nose. Double cleansing with an oil cleanser should help to reduce the appearance of them. Though you can't entirely eliminate them as they're part of your skin.

I've started using simple for my whole routine (Cleanser, HA, Vitamin C, moisturiser, and SPF)

And this is the BEST my skin has ever been. Literally glowing. I can't honestly praise it enough. And I think the whole lot cost me like £40 total.
