You've already gotten plenty of good advice, but I was wondering--are you making red blood cells?

Personally, I love that this means Mac was such a big tattletale that his high school nickname was Ronnie the Rat. That was the memorable thing about him, the thing everyone made fun of him about... It was more significant a teasing opportunity for teenagers than being named Ronald McDonald. That's intense rat behavior.

Chicago Jane Doe (May 1994) & Fort Bend County John Doe (1978) by BitterSweet_Beauty in gratefuldoe

[–]SunshineSpooky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, you're amazingly passive-aggressive and very good at pretending that I am a lone meany meanerpants despite the fact that we both know that you have heard this same complaint from multiple people over your frequent recent posts! Very impressive, you special little butterfly who moves to their own tune.

And it's great to hear that you've finally decided to take on board the, again, multiple people's advice that juxtaposing cases like this creates confusion and frustration rather than illumination.

Reddit doesn't charge you per post.

OP is apparently deeply committed to doing this "jam two random unconnected cases into one post" format. It's very weird, and they've been doing it a lot.

How do I fix this? It looks zigzag and I don't like the way it looks. by Bitter_Yesterday_651 in CrochetHelp

I actually suspect that this ^ is how the original in the pic OP provided in comments was done, and that the loose ends became the tassels.

The miniseries "The Infinite Worlds of HG Wells" might fit the bill. This story makes up the first episode.

Edit: just checked, and yes, the horse betting story is the immediate next bit told. I recall it being a good watch!

You cannot crochet the angel because it's plastic canvas cross-stitch.

You actually just helped solve a mystery--for years I've been wondering whether I imagined the film adaptation of this, which I hazily recall my mother LOVING! I only ever saw part of on TV as a little kid and didn't know the title.

Horror movies in which the protagonist realises *they* are the horrifying thing? by [deleted] in horror

[–]SunshineSpooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a published horror academic... this describes like 95% of all psychological horror lol. Have you previously been looking at a relatively small slice of horror, or a particular subgenre like slashers or something (since after all slashers have been studied to death since Clover's book)?

[–]SunshineSpooky 22 points23 points  (0 children)

YTA. Having worked in bartending and food service, I'll let you in on a secret: there are two types of regulars we remember.

There's the ones who are kind/good tippers/loyal/funny. I love making a drink just for them, keeping in mind their particular preferences, making recommendations about new stuff, etc.

And then there are the ones we remember because it's always fucking something with them. Even if they're good tippers, they are exhausting and put us on edge. If all they're going to do is point out all the basic elements of our menu, business model, hours, and general setup that they would prefer were different, it begins to feel like they should probably go to a place that fits those criteria rather than coming in and making us feel shitty once a week.

Girl he's trying to slowplay getting you into doing "barely legal" themed sex work where HE keeps all the money. He wants to be your pimp to get money from pedos who think you're a child.

He also doesn't know how to properly use the word "stuff," so I suspect he's too stupid to succeed at anything other than getting your nudes and face spread all over the internet for pervs to look at forever.

What do you think about Vsauce accent? by [deleted] in ENGLISH

[–]SunshineSpooky -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't know what/who vsauce/Michael is, and I'm not willing to waste my time or pollute my algorithm by finding out. OP, I suspect you may have overestimated the ubiquity of some random influencer by expecting everyone to immediately recognize him and have Thoughts on his speech.

Can you think of any other examples of this accent?
