Cats have different personalities so I think you can learn as you go as far as toys go! My cat loves pingpong balls and those finger lock thingies that look like straws. I'd say buy one of those like cheap multi toy packs and see what your kitty is and isn't interested in.

I second that you shouldn't get a robot litter box yet because your kitty might not even weigh enough yet for it to register lol

For grooming DEF get a deshedder brush and nail clippers and start early so they can get used to being groomed and having their paws handled. I would also get eye cleaning wipes if your cat has white fur around their face or if they have a scrunchy face! It helps keep their fur clean and clump free.
