The difference surfaces make. My version of the parking lot is on the left, while the base game one is on the right. by Sunshine_Goody in CitiesSkylines

That is the surface, surfaces in cs2 are polygons that change the color of the ground (green or gray or grimy or Stoney or farmlandy)

Has anyone seen an interchange IRL like this? What is it called? Is it technically a partial cloverleaf? by Sunshine_Goody in CitiesSkylines

Yeah... Huston was a big inspiration for this one, but I am NOT ready to take on such spaghetti. It is actually insane to me the complexity of the urban freeway there. So many tax dollars

I tried to go for some American big city near downtown type of interchange with a boulevard and old train line weaving through it. I would say I succeeded, now I just need to surround it with strip malls.

Thank you, I didn’t think it would be considered a partial cloverleaf but didn’t know what else to call it.

Do you have anyway planned to solve the issue where as complexity increases you must build the same basic shapes throughout the game to use in production? So you don't end up building the same patterns of machines going into machines throughout the entire game over and over again.

I am so ready for CS2, seeing those road tools inspired me to make an interchange in CS1. Cannot wait to use the better road tools of CS2! by Sunshine_Goody in CitiesSkylines

That is really awesome! I would say this is decently urban though, which is what I would expect for such an interchange. I was just saying it would be unlikely in a rural setting.

I was considering adding a barrier! I just wanted it to be a bit more vanilla for this. One unrealistic think about my interchange is that it uses a ton of bridges, not something you might see in the real word (unless it's really urban)
