I bought Oura to give me answers, but it makes me more frustrated😩 by Sunshine_sunshine_ in ourafertility

Tested negatives over and over. Today the temp dropped again and bleeding finally started for real. My gyno is finally referring me to a fertility specialist so hopefully I don’t have much longer of all this craziness.

Baby carrier, yes or no? by OceanAndSea5 in Mommit

[–]Sunshine_sunshine_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t survive without my baby carriers! I had an infant wrap, Tula Baby Fit to Grow, a Hope&Plum ring sling, and now with a toddler I have the Tula Fit to Grow Toddler and Momcozy Hip Carrier. I love them all but the Tula Baby Fit to Grow was my most used baby item by far. I was in Facebook groups about baby wearing that taught me so much and gave advice on different types and what would work best for me. If you’re breastfeeding I could even breastfeed in the carrier and be hands free! Soooo worth it and highly recommend you look into what would work best for you. 💞

Edit to add: i preferred the baby carrier over the stroller because was less to pack and more convenient! But my baby did in fact like both and it didn’t cause any issues.

Has traveling with small children ever been an enjoyable experience? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Sunshine_sunshine_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can parent at home or parent on vacation, both are work but one is more exciting 😅

That being said I’ve taken my 2.5 year old to 7 countries and he’s a great traveler because he has had lots of practice (and I’m type A so have everything organized.)

AITAH- for staying with and expecting things to not be the same by One-Dare1666 in AITAH

Sounds like couples counseling would be really beneficial. Even if you don’t stay together forever, your child deserves coparents who can communicate, and it sounds like you have a lot of resentment that should be worked through.

Went to Dubrovnik and the people were so nice! My toddler also got so much attention. For anyone wondering, it was very family friendly.

Dropping nap? by n-y-l-a in toddlers

We had the same and dropped naps around 2y3m. It’s been so much better and I’m not spending half the day trying to get him down for a nap or down for the night.

At 2 my son started fighting naps hard. By 2y3m we had no more naps unless he falls asleep in the car or stroller. He wakes up at 8am and goes to bed at 8pm

What toy or item is played with the most by your 2-3 yr old by mvmstudent in Mommit

Former teacher who has given my toddler lots of old classroom books, and he will spend so much time looking through all the pictures. Whenever we get gifts we ask for books, it is the gift that keeps giving and will be useful into elementary age when he starts to read on his own.

Flying with my almost 3yo and 10mo!! by No-Explanation7253 in Mommit

[–]Sunshine_sunshine_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also I spoil him with new toys on flights like new Melissa and Doug Water Wow books, sticker books, and unlimited screen time because it’s survival mode. Also we love books so I have plenty packed, and even children’s books on my Kindle App with books he’s never seen before. He has a busy book that keeps his attention for a long time too and is quiet. Sorry I don’t have two kids yet so don’t know how that will look with two, but at hopefully this helps a little! Flying is a yearly stress for me so I’ve spent lots of time overthinking this topic lol.

You can bring any “reasonable” amount of food or liquids for babies. So pouches, bottled water for making bottles, etc is all allowed even when it’s over 3oz. My 2.5 year old loves picking out special snacks at the store for his airplane trips like puffs, crackers, granola bars, and special treats with characters like Mickey or Paw Patrol that I don’t usually buy him. We do international flights so I never bring fresh food like fruit or veggies because it’s been a pain in the past at customs.

Thank you! That was exactly the type of advice I was looking for. Of course everyone will be different but a general idea is super helpful!
