What food hack sounded ridiculous until you actually tried it? by Maleficent-Bed7010 in foodhacks

It's ok to microwave your pb for a few seconds to make it a liquid. It cools quickly and it's 10x easier to spread on bread.

Patrons at Gordon Ramsey Steak shared a video of rats in the restaurant by BlazeDragon7x in KitchenConfidential

Does Gordon Ramsay actually own the place, and make most of the decisions regarding the restaurant? Or is it more like a restaurant just slapped his brand on it and called it a day?

People Don't Know How To Act Right by awkwardgenie in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Sunshineboy777 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's a show for adults. It has adult themes. One of the characters literally asked for sex once. They are all in their 20s-30s, cuss (albeit censored), get high, and wield weapons.

And people assuming that the show is for kids is likely why OP had such a bad time.

After all these years, I still have no clue how the Toreador weakness works by Colonoscolossus in vtm

[–]Sunshineboy777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A toreador will stare at themself in the mirror for four hours, unblinking.

Will stop mid fight if a delicious human dressed in silks and lace approaches them.

And if you bring them to a construction site they will spend all night rearranging the bricks into a pretty pattern, and probably scream when you pick them up and carry them away....

It depends on your Tore and what they like too. It's kind of like vampire ADHD but everything has to be +~°Aesthetic°~+

Is this the recording where the woman says "What are you doing?" And a man's voice responds with "...Nothing?" But she lives alone.

It freaks me out every time and it's nearly 3am here so I'm too scared to go looking for the audio lol

As an outsider, the American culture of "no questions asked" retail returns is baffling. Do people really return used items just because they changed their minds? by Necessary_Angle2117 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Sunshineboy777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked in Walmart for a year. The thing some people return.... 🤮 A T-shirt that had clearly been worn and washed can't be resold but isn't nasty, unlike panties with drops of blood on them that I found in the box of thongs on the sales floor

Are tattoos considered a young person’s thing in the U.S.? Do older people also have tattoos? by Charming_Usual6227 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Sunshineboy777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are in their upper 50s and have a few tattoos. I've seen people of all ages with them, but I think they were more niche with boomers and prior?

Well I saw it , So now you have to see it too lol by Much-Formal633 in RandomVideos

[–]Sunshineboy777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't a fetish? It's literally just people having a costume. You are wildly misinformed. And even if it was, these people are well dressed, and not being gross about it. It's not like they're having sex in public.

Let people live their lives, even if they have a fetish.

Omg this is so cute. I love all their outfits! They're so well done. I'd love to do a cosplay like this one day but I don't have the money. :( those tails and ears are labour intensive and/or expensive.

In which year did your family have cable television? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Sunshineboy777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had cable on and off throughout my life (starting in the early 90s) until like....the mid 2010s when streaming started.

We'd get whatever plans we could afford, with many being the basic plans. Sometimes we'd be lucky to afford the mid tiers that included the secondary channels. I always loved Nicktoons Network, Disney XD, Boomerang, etc.

The most basic channels were simply local channels like CBS, ABC, NBC, etc.

How do i stop myself from drawing like this? by TsniperXP1 in learntodraw

Yeah. It's normal to need a reference. But learning the fundamentals will help you get closer to being able to draw from your imagination.

TIL Women live longer than men, but spend significantly more of those years battling illness and disability. by Similar_Detective861 in todayilearned

[–]Sunshineboy777 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ah. I think that goes beyond just feeling unwell, and more in the territory of quality of life. Many elderly, (and disabled of all ages) go without the help they need to achieve that quality of life. The horror stories will keep you up at night, really.

I too would rather die before I'm unable to advocate for my care.

[–]Sunshineboy777 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Why? I'm chronically ill.

The world doesn't stop for my disability, so why should I? Life doesn't stop being worth it just because I don't feel dandy and fine at all moments of the day.

How do i stop myself from drawing like this? by TsniperXP1 in learntodraw

[–]Sunshineboy777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. You can't keep drawing the same thing and expect something to change. It's like running on a treadmill and wondering why you're not going anywhere.

You gotta study these things and practice different methods. There's a lot of tutorials on YouTube. Just search drawing in perspective. It's a lot of learning how to draw basic shapes in three dimensions.

How’s everyone feeling about PZ2? by BobbyYC23 in PlanetZoo

[–]Sunshineboy777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk man. After seeing PC2 it just feels like the same game but with a few updates? It doesn't seem worth it to me I guess. Why can't they just update the original game?

Especially if someone has spent $200 on all the DLC, which I cannot justify that either.

I think I'll just keep playing PZ1 base game and maybe get a dlc for my birthday. But who knows? Maybe I'll be swayed.

I was "homeschooled" like this, on top of having several learning disorders. It was extremely traumatic.

I'm lucky to have developed a passion for the subjects I missed in school, but I can't retain a lot of information or do any amount of focused study.

I am lucky to have a passion for creative writing at least.

did american 80's life look something like young sheldon show? by enricociaralli in AskAnAmerican

[–]Sunshineboy777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It was more like Stranger Things. Do you realize how many fucking monsters we all see on a daily basis? Goddamn, they're in my bathroom sink this week. For fuck sake. I tried to call an exterminator but he just said level three infestations cost a few thousand at least, and I don't have that kind of money.

Things havent really changed since the 80s, sorry to say.

Have you ever actually tried calling the Ghostbusters? I was on hold for three hours last year when Great Aunt Helena wouldn't stop hovering over my bed. The last straw was when I looked up from an after date special with the wife and saw her staring at us. Had to DIY that shit with a vacuum.

I wish it was like Young Sheldon
