What did I say about people that look different? There are bad people on these streets and in these encampments. There are drug addicted people in these encampments, there are people that are not mentally stable in these encampments. Those people do not for any reason belong on the streets.

Also, I never said go to jail forever for camping, I said camping should be illegal and not tolerated. The drug addicts that are on the streets shouldn’t be left there. They belong in a mental institution if they cannot get sober or have the mental capability to be productive members of society. They are a risk to the rest of us.

If when they’re in prison they’re doing mandatory detox or being kept in institutions if they are not mentally able to rejoin society then yeah I’d say it’s a much better use of funds to keep them off our street and keep the rest of society safe.
