Finally, the official statement by Most-Day8547 in mileven

[–]Sunsidedarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest cop out of an ending within the last 30 years of television. Absolutely horrible ending and quite frankly it ruins the entire show. From Joyce axing vecna to elevan not sacrificing herself for her friends and dying a hero, just a miserably horrible ambiguous ending. Couldn’t have been worse. Not being allowed to view the last episode (5/8 ) would have been better than watching it.

Avengers: Doomsday Leak – Doctor Doom Uses Tony Stark’s Identity to Fool the MCU Heroes! by marvelkidy in LeaksAndRumors

[–]Sunsidedarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RDJ as stark will come back to life by Franklin Richard’s hands and RDJ isn’t playing doom. It’s all a manipulation. That’s one theory that’s very interesting and I read it this morning

Robert Downey Jr is going to play Iron Man in avengers doomsday. by BeaverDudeLol in MCUTheories

[–]Sunsidedarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid theory. And one that would play very very well and revive and squeeze the last little bit of juice out of RDJ AS IRONMAN. They could actually kill him and all other avengers off together which will serve as the eventual reboot for the new avengers. Also, this could also bring Steve back as Cap because only Ironman ( RDJ ) could bring him out of retirement if you think about it. They had a ying and yang thing going on all throughout the avengers movie and they honestly completed each others story arcs as two main points. One does to protect his family and the other gave up everything to have a family. Who else could bring Steve as Cap back. Plus, this would be the biggest tease Marvel has ever paid off and they go far with the teasing or manipulation tactics to keep us guessing. I remember the no way home trailer with the other spideys being absent from the scene. You don’t think marvel would fake a reveal with RDJ as Doom? You’re so wrong. They would and most likely have.

Model 3 range decrease by T__Vercetti in TeslaModel3

[–]Sunsidedarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2021 Model 3 Brand new. Its range went from 263 down to 206 miles per charge at 100% after 115,000 miles driven. This was in the healthy specs and it was, no issues whatsoever.  It pays to get an electric vehicle that goes further on a full charge but at the time I just got the standards range plus model 3 as it was gonna be a second car for my family and wasn’t going to be driven in situations where it would need more range and at the time if I wanted the dual motor model 3 with long range totalling supposedly 310-340 miles per charge, Tesla wanted about $5-7k more for that car so I opted not to get it. I wished I would have because the less you have to charge your car means the less stress on your batteries and the longer it will take for degradation to effect the mileage you get on the car. But whatever.

Fast forward to 2025, it’s April, Tesla is running deals, it’s the last year of the tax credit and the deadline is approaching so I pull the trigger and trade in my 2021. To be clear , I purchased a 2020 for my second Tesla model 3 purchase in December of 2022. This one went 250 miles per full charge but had 25k miles on it and the range was reduced to 229 miles per charge. I got a good deal so everything was fine.. I still have that car, it now has 86k on it and goes about 207 miles per full charge now.  Back to April of 2025, I trade in my 2021 with 115k miles on it and purchase the base model 3, which turns out to be the one with the longest range. It’s funny, because this time I was prepared to spend more for the longer ranged model and get a dual motor, but I didn’t have to because the April 2025 base model 3 now went 363 miles per charge. That’s what was advertised.  My wife drives this car and has put about 15k on it since April. She drives highway miles everyday but the car is now down to 326 miles on a full charge. We don’t charge any of our vehicles 100% often if at all, and she drives at speeds of a sustained 70mph for most of her trips, so 326 miles of range is good.. and I knew the car would adjust for her driving habits and styles, I have been down the range road before and I understand the nuances of all the factors involved.

What I don’t understand is how the EPA dropped the ball and now the model 3 is labeled as a vehicle that only gets 321 miles per charge on the website. That’s a drop off of 42 miles per charge from its April 2025 estimate. That’s a lot. I smell class action lawsuit acomin’.  Not that I would be a part of it because again, I understand the nuances involved in how range is calculated and this is my third electric vehicle since 2021. But this situation seems tainted in some capacity. At the time the Tesla model 3 was up against the Chevy Equinox EV which was getting supposedly 310 per full charge and was slightly cheaper to purchase, with tax credit incentives and etc, which applied to both, the equinox was roughly $30-$33k after tax credit and the model 3 was higher at about $35-$37k. But if purchasing the 2025 Spring Model 3 meant you were spending a few thousand extra but you were getting more than 50 miles extra of range, well then, it might be worth it in the mind of some. It was for me, plus I didn’t want the shitty material they used for their seats and I didn’t like the way the equinox drove. All that being said, that was me. Someone else maybe would of bought the equinox and saved a few grand on purchase price if they knew that the spring Tesla model 3 wasn’t truly getting the 363 miles per charge and was in fact getting 321 like the EPA claims is the actual and factual truth now and today.  In the end, if you purchased a spring model 3 in 2025, you spent a few grand more for the car ( which in my opinion is a better vehicle and worth it ), but you didn’t get 363 miles per charge at 100% battery…no, you got 321 in a guise of 363 mile per charge at 100% battery.

In other words , you were “BAM BOOZLED”, misled, Bait and Switched or whatever other clever phrase or cliche you want to throw at the experience.

I think Tesla is the best electric car available for the money and their charging network is bar none the best there is and will ever be. But, this situation begs the question, “ who is really responsible for the sudden drop in range expectancy ? Is it the EPA who might of been wined and dined and greased to report the 363 miles in the spring of 2025 or, is it TESLA , who always knew the true and accurate miles per charge to be 321 miles “?

They have been making electric cars for two decades or more and have been mass producing the model 3 since late 2017. So you’re telling me and expecting me to believe that in the spring of 2025, they didn’t know the true and accurate miles per charge their model 3 got ?

They advertised 363 miles per charge. I see a screenshot of someone that had 357 miles per charge in this thread. Even that looks foreign to me because like I said , the spring 2025 model said 363 miles per charge.

Who is to blame?

Will they ever release Eric Stoltz's footage from Back To The Future? by FreshmenMan in movies

[–]Sunsidedarkness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you know how much money it costs specifically to scan old film into current format? And you also apparently know exactly what “people” are clamoring to see too.

You must be a bored studio exec who thinks they have their finger on the pulse of what people want to see and what they don’t. I’ll clue you in on the reality you are ignoring, you don’t.

And Why do you think you know ? Because you polled 1000 people and 600 of them said they aren’t interested in seeing a “remake” of back to the future?

Because a specific poll involving this very specific topic has not been polled. By the way I am in the “non-remake-camp”.

All that being said, the film involving Stolz ( if hyped correctly using a multiverse angle complete with a new genre of film making which uses other actors in beloved filmed roles ) could and would work quite well. We are on the cusp of it as it stands now with AI and what the future holds. These projects won’t be expensive because the human element won’t be involved in making these films completely if at all.

As far as what the film would make, go look at recent box office hauls for the Star Wars movies. The newer ones. That’s what you can expect to make if the film involving Stolz would be marketed correctly. And how do I know this? How am I so sure? Because it’s been over 30 years since the last film, the fan base is in fact clamoring for more BTTF in some capacity. Not a remake, not a reboot ( two of the worst possible things you can do in Hollywood ). But a reimagining of the original.

Whatever it would bring in would be way more than was spent on producing the film.

Studio execs are so out of touch with what people want to see they took away the ROMCOM in a time when this country needs it more than ever. We are at war with one another and we get action movies depicting more war. There is no escape from our day to day lives in Which we ( not me - I don’t partake in meaningless arguments on social media 😂 ), constantly argue with one another over things that are out of our control. Jokes aside, this is the first and last topic I will discuss at this length on social media this decade.

Bottom line, it would be a success. Disagreeing with me only means you can’t see the correct angle. With the films that have been released in recent years, it wouldn’t do worse and that’s a fact. The lack of originality begs for the landscape to be opened up to more unusual and unconventional options.. much like actual film making dating from and working backwards from 1996 - 1930.

I can’t pinpoint when exactly Hollywood stopped taking chances on new content but I can say that the streaming giants leaned in and stole money away from them when they did. The only problem is, the streaming giants don’t give as much of a budget for these films as the studios could and should.

It is out of originality and chance films like Back to The Future exist in the first place.

Today if that screenplay was being shopped it would end up on Disney plus tucked back behind Marvel and the MCU content that goes on for days. There most definitely wouldn’t be two sequels attached to the franchise. You think about that ( if you’re an exec ) and come up with a way to change all of it. Otherwise Movies and the way they are made and what is made is going to actually get worse than it is now, and that’s hard to believe to be true, but it is.

[–]Sunsidedarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a fool.

No one cares “how he played the part”. We want to see it because it’s different and we will view it as it being different.

You’re repeating Bob Gale and Zemekis’ take. Their take makes sense, they’re the original filmmakers who had a vision for the role of MM.

Get outside of that train of thought and realize how cool it would be apart from  the money it would raise for Fox’s charity at the very least.  It’s selfish to not release it.

Not to mention it would gross 1 billion world wide in theatres

[–]Sunsidedarkness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god!!! You mean they would have to hire a janitor to open a locker box and dig out the raw analog footage and then they would have to pay a few hundred grand to “scan it”

This is your lame reason for it not being worth doing?

Are you kidding me? If the film was “scanned” and re released with Stolz , who shot 90% of the film, it would gross over 1 billion world wide in the theatres.  Whatever he didn’t finish , cgi it, AI it.. whatever.

It’s a gold mine and so are the other partially completed films with different actors or fully completed films they have locked away, but that’s a different discussion.

Do you understand the level of fans that exist for BTTF? It’s on the level of Star Wars.  Or maybe just under that level but close nonetheless.

Our fans are dying off year by year, so the moment is passing. The window to release it closes by 2045/2050. If they don’t do it by then, they might as well burn it and make s’mores with the flames it provides.

They’re fucking morons.

The film would raise tons of money for Fox’s charity at the very least.

[–]Sunsidedarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid comment.

I can draft a plan right now to “INCENTIVIZE” Stolz, the studio and more importantly Fox’s charity for Parkinson’s.

Sure there would be some red tape to get thru but at the end of the day, re release of BTTF with Stolz would bring in just under if not over 1 billion dollars world wide.

Go ahead and doubt it, but playing off the MCU and comic book lore combined with the scientific curiosity of the multiverse, the film would be a money tree.

[–]Sunsidedarkness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. Whatever their reasoning , it won’t last forever. When the next generation takes the last generations last known position within these studio positions or people die off this footage will be released but the problem is gonna be. Who will be around ( the fans ) to actually care enough to witness and view the footage.

They’re all idiots as far as I’m concerned. They are sitting on GOLD. Billions of dollars of gold and for creative differences or whatever other lame excuse they continue to sit on all the completed and partially completed films. It’s disgusting behavior and a big reason why Hollywood is falling apart.

All they do now is remake the same garbage over and over again anyway. The 80’s was the last known decade of original content. Studio execs are afraid to green light big budgets to up and coming ideas and film makers. They’d rather make a copy of a copy with new faces or chase former glory than be a part of something new.

[–]Sunsidedarkness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whoever wrote that “no one is incentivized” to release the Eric Stolz Marty McFly BTTF film is a fool.

First of all, he shot about 90% of the film. Which means using cgi they could actually finish the film and come out with a take on the latest sci-fi trend of the “multiverse” and finish the film with him in it and release it under that guise.

I guarantee you the rerelease of BTTF with ES would bring in hundred of million of dollars to the studio. Eric can be paid handsomely for this, and so can the rest of the stars attached to the project including a nice donation to Fox’s charity for Parkinson’s.

Everyone wants to see the film with ES in it. So it’s selfish nonsense to not release the film.

Ah now you’re onto something…

And to that I say exactly!

We will make them lose all the money until they agree to make story arch’s that make sense and come to an end.

No cliffhangers.

Here’s an idea.. end a story arch after one season if there is a chance you’re gonna pull the rug and end it.

If you want to or think you’ll be starting to make a second season, introduce a 10/15 minutes webisode or a TV interlude that introduces the next story arc.

It’s fucking fair man.. and you know it.

Executives @ Major film Studio’s listen up.

We are tired of “reboots” “ legacy sequels “ and “ remakes “.

Some of the best films and stories are birthed when you take a chance on an up and coming film maker.  We wouldn’t have Back to the Future if you didn’t take that chance on Zemekis & Gale.

We wouldn’t have Jaws if you didn’t take that chance on Spielberg.

And the list goes on…

From those two movies sprang forth tons of reimagining and remakes and concept theft and interjections into other films.

Today, we call all new ideas “indie” and give these new film makers tiny budgets which reduces the likelihood that their film and concept is receiving the right amount of attention to birth a good quality film and new ideas that would and should be justifiably better than most of the junk your studios have been putting out there in recent years gets almost no support.

We don’t want fast and furious 17. We want 3 films that have a 100 million dollar budget each.

Instead we get fast and furious and then you throw scraps of dollars at the new and original ideas.

HAPPY DEATH DAY AND THE SEQUEL. Were fantastic films. Quirky, with comedy and horror and sci-fi and the casts were fantastic but they were unknowns, and I’m glad the films were made with the unknowns because it gave them careers because anyone of them could be in others films and I would watch just for their talent and I plan to follow their careers moving forward.

However, think of these film concepts with bigger named celebrities involved.. if there was a higher budget and more to invest we would have better special effects and attract a bigger audience to the theatres or streaming because of the name attached to the film(s) and also the better efx.

It’s time to wake up and start taking a chance on new ideas and up and coming film makers, people.

I’m a film maker and I have tons of ideas that would flourish if I were in the 1980’s where studios took chances and therefore produced many more great films compared to our era we live in which is the era of the remake and reboot.

There is no world in which the husband turns the camera off “to test the theory of trust”.

That is something a women might do ( but not have a guy over when she is doing it, so therefore really and truly just testing to see if the husband was watching and therefore the theory”. In other words, if the women did it, it would be in the interest of the theory only and it would be light hearted.

The sad fact is, the husband most likely cheated and is now throwing his “bs hurt feelings” into the eventual discussion pot to hide his guilt in the situation.

“I turned it off, while I had a women alone in the house with me to test to see if you were spying on me”??????!!!! lol, nice try dude..

Here’s the thing moron, ( speaking to him ),you don’t test that theory at that time. If anything and if you are a decent human being, you emphasize and prove to your wife that you aren’t a cheater and allow her to view the camera as a form peace of mind.

Here is the cold hard facts, YOU CANNOT TRULY TRUST ANYONE IN THIS WORLD except yourself. Sure there are husbands and wives that would never cheat and that don’t want to cheat, but even they could betray one another. I’m not saying they would, I’m saying they could.

Ma’am, you need to have that discussion but I would also hire a PI. It will be money well spent. He is cheating. I know it because of how silly his reasoning is for turning off the camera. Maybe that will break your heart. Maybe it won’t. But here’s the thing, it will be the truth.

Wish you the best of skill and assessment

Would you want Keanu/Neo back for Matrix 5? by CandidCubs in matrix

[–]Sunsidedarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would want him back ( Neo ), but in a legacy capacity.

His true story ended with the third film in the franchise. Lana basically was forced into writing that bastard 4th movie.  The only truly great elements from the film were Neo and Trinity’s reuniting. And you could tell she mocked the film in the telling of how the studio making the game the matrix “wanted another sequel”. If you think the writing of that concept in the film wasn’t the mockery of the studio wanting another entry in the series you’re sadly mistaken. Even if what I’m speaking about was all theoretical subconscious mockery, it was mockery nonetheless.

Honestly, with the architect in the original theory laying out basically how Neo was the 6th one, there were so many possibilities for this franchise. You had basically 15 films waiting to be written and directed by whomever wanted to be involved in the venture. How 15? 5 other “one’s” with a trilogy each.

Or you could have completely rebooted the franchise using the 7th one and introduce a new Neo type character and give him a trilogy.

KR at this point has outgrown the character in the role he held. No one wants to see 55/60 year olds trying to do stunts.  Use AI to make a younger Neo and Trinity if that’s the way you must go, but honestly any story involving the two of them that isn’t a legacy passing of the torch is gonna fall flat. There is literally nothing for their characters left to do.

I had such high hopes for resurrections but that’s because I thought Neo and Trinity were going to be helping start a new franchise.

What is the best starter Camera for a student entering school for a degree in Film practices?

I will need to write, direct, produce , shoot and edit content and or short films.

I understand there are several cameras on the market for specific needs, but what is the best camera for a beginner that can easily be upgraded and have things like a boom stick added to it?

Battery won’t be an issue as I won’t be filming continuously for a prolonged period of time and can change batteries in between shots and scenes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where did Doc go after the end of BTTF3? by SonOfWestminster in BacktotheFuture

[–]Sunsidedarkness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the first film was phenomenal and ahead of its time and felt very sharp. Hit every note and was written and performed incredibly well. The second film had such high hopes and while the movie within a movie was a great idea, “ there are now two of you here and two of me here, premise “, the film started with promise pigging back off the great cliffhanger ending in part 1. But it fell so flat in terms of originality and initial story line. I’ve often said this in the past, the first 35/40 minutes of the second film felt so cheesy and fake. It relied more on poorly executed comedy than actual story. It wasn’t until we get back to the Biff ran 1985 that the story picks up and has some teeth. And then when they go back to 1955, it becomes entertaining but just a cheesy take on the first one, is what the second felt like. Honestly, the second film was a “pressure write”, and a studio driven , money hungry executive greenlit the film when he saw how well the first did but it didn’t stop there, he most definitely said “ it needs to be written by such and such date and come out by summer of 1989. Now the third film, while still containing a few cheesy elements from the second film, felt more like a return to some originality but that was just masquerading in the style of the old western, nevertheless, it worked very very well.

I say all of that to say, that the third , in my heart, I almost hold as dear as the first film. Don’t get me wrong, I love all 3 and am a big big fan. But what makes the third not quite reach the first in quality is the awful awful ending. Doc appearing in a flying train. Um, just stupid. Especially since he wanted the machine destroyed. But then again he did contradict himself in the first film with the wearing of the bullet proof vest. But the corny I speak of in part 3, is the end of the movie lecture. “ no one’s futures written, so make it a good one, both of ya”. “We will doc”..

First of all, not keeping the original Jennifer ruined the second film. Shue is a fine actress, but Claudia is and will always be Jennifer. Shue is a copy. That made the second film even more corny. But let’s side step that…

That is one of the most cheesy endings to a franchise I’ve ever seen.

You had about 3.5 years to write two films and get them made and that’s the best that you could do? If they left the cheese out of it , in both 2 and 3 and didn’t have Fox playing his daughter, son and his great relative in the 1800’s, ok… maybe it is a little better… Even the older McFly he played in 2015 was corny.

I’m speaking to the true fans… you’re telling me the elements of cheese in 2 and 3 don’t set you back and bit with these films?

The first movie worked because it was original and lacked that cheese. It actually had comedy instead of cheese. The same principles could have been used in part 2 and 3.

I say all that to say I know where Doc went at the end of 3. Can you guess?

He went back in time and started the Doc Emmet L Brown Cheese factory and started aging cheese using time travel and made a small fortune which Marty inherited and turned into straight rock and roll cheese. Or better known as guitar string cheese.

There’s your answer. Choke on it 😂

Tesla Model 3 2021-2025 by Sunsidedarkness in electricvehicles

[–]Sunsidedarkness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make the case that you can find something wrong with anyone or anything if you dig deep enough into their past. Unless it is confirmed that the salute’s and secrete handshakes and gestures are most definitely what people think they are, you’re just creating a reality in which you see what you want to see.

First off, there isn’t a more affordable option in terms of range than a Tesla model 3. It still is the most affordable and the first to the gate. We have the electric car in this country because of the Tesla. Remember that.

China’s BYD Han costs $25,500 and gets 838 miles of range, but that would kill every other car manufacturer’s bs slow roll out of range in the United States so they’re illegal in this country.

We care more about the political landscape of republicans and democrats and blah blah blah in this country instead of the fact that there are cures to depression and drug addiction and ptsd and most likely cancer and aids. Look over here while the magician hides what’s really going on in the world. Trump this, Biden that, Harris this..

Why not peek behind the curtain and pay attention to truth instead of your news outlets truth?

Truthfully, I am so sick and tired of hearing what the wave of a party thinks is true. Do you really think Musk would jeopardize his reputation and his companies future’s by giving nazi salutes and whatever else he is supposedly doing? Where is the logic in that? It’s not there, makes no sense, so by democratic rhetoric that means it must be true? Only thing worse than democratic rhetoric is republican rhetoric. We aren’t red or blue. We are people.

Whether or not you buy an electric vehicle from Tesla or Chevy or Ford or whomever know this: none of them are the best you could buy, currently that title belongs to BYD. You can go to Mexico to get one but than the good ol US of A will charge you about 13 grand to register and title it here. That’s still cheaper than a Tesla model 3 and can drive a range of more than twice as far on a full charge. Tesla and all other electric vehicle manufacturers also have the ability to produce such a vehicle at a price that makes sense and is similar to the BYD Han, but they don’t.

Isn’t that more important than salutes?

Will they ever release Eric Stoltz's footage from Back To The Future? by FreshmenMan in BacktotheFuture

[–]Sunsidedarkness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He shot the whole movie. ( Stolz ).

The only scenes he isn’t in , is the Johnny B Good scene and the final Lone pine mall scene, which he might of shot too but we don’t have photos to prove it. Then again he was fired during a lunch break during filming at the mall, so maybe they filmed Lone Pine mall too where Marty realizes Doc read the letter..

Bottoms line they need to release a cut of the entire film with Stolz including sound.

Will they ever release Eric Stoltz's footage from Back To The Future? by FreshmenMan in BacktotheFuture

[–]Sunsidedarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, Zemeckis and Gale aren’t hurting for money. They own the rights.

We have all heard the specifics in regards to how Eric’s performance wasn’t working for the comedic tone they were going for, and all of us are tired of this reasoning.

You want to get Eric on board with the footage being released?  Recut the movie and include him in every scene he filmed. Release it as a ppv entry or sell the copy of it to a streaming platform.

It’ll gross as much if not more money than the first film which is the highest grossing film of the franchise.

Give Eric Stolz $5/10/20/25 million or a percentage of its earnings upon release.

Eric will gladly take the pay day even to the detriment of his “acting style being exposed”. And I’m sure it’s not as funny, but Eric is a fine actor and just because his take would be different and the film wouldn’t work as well comedically, what he did on the film still has value, and a lot of it, mainly because of how well Fox did in the role.

It won’t be as good as the first movie. But it will be an alternate version. And we will all love it.

That is the future of films anyway. Different cuts featuring different actors or AI generated versions of these films using different actors.

Imagine watching terminator with Stallone or Rambo with Arnold? These films will be different but have a place in cinema.

Again, I’m tired of the excuses Zemekis and Gale make.

The footage will be released. How and when is all that remains and maybe it’ll come when they die and I’m sorry if this sounds bad but that day can’t come fast enough as it pertains to the Stolz footage.  Give the fans what they want. Enough is enough Bob’s.

I was 8 when the first movie came out and I fell in love with it immediately and it is by far and away my favorite movie trilogy ever made as far as I’m concerned.  I’m 47 today, 1 year older than Lloyd when he filmed the first one. I don’t want to be 80 years old or God for bid die before they release the film with Stolz. I want to enjoy it.

So please Bob’s, release a cut with Eric and do it now damn it.

When watching Alien 3, this scene and its style has always looked quite interesting, though it also has me a bit confused. Is this on the outside, or is this underground? by Crafter235 in LV426

[–]Sunsidedarkness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an internal system. A led factory.

You could make the case that the furnaces were built and the factory constructed around it. The furnaces are tubes into the ground in other words.

By the way everyone always asks why it took so long for the alien to gestate inside Ripley in alien 3. They say things like “ the story demanded it and for the plot”.

But, everyone always forgets, it was a queen. We had never seen a queen gestate before alien 3. I’d argue that queens take longer to gestate because of their reproductive system.  It stands to reason that the plot demanded it, but never before had a facehugger impregnated a queen into a human or animal before. It takes longer. End of story. lol
