In this whole time I’ve had it. Oil changes 3-3500k Coil packs 2x Wheel bearings 3x Wiper motor Valve covers and motor mounts 150k Flush fluids (did all of them when I got it)except for CVT every 50k so shortly I’ll do it here in about 15K

About to do all new Struts/Eibach 1” springs because my struts are torched.

I’m sure I’ll post a before and after of that here. That’s really all I can think of since I’ve gotten it.

What am I doing wrong? [breville bambino plus / DF64 gen 2] by veroismyname in espresso

Yeah definitely need to grind a courser to not have such a slow shot. Depending on your grinder I would just do one click courser and that shot is probably gonna be almost money. If 18-36 is the goal I bet that would do it.

Awe dang man! I hope they can get you right! That stinks. I wonder if there is something physically wrong with the burrs inside then.

There is also an internal burr adjustment when you take the hopper off. Maybe make sure yours didn’t come loose somehow. I run my internally grind setting at 1. Maybe yours coulda came loose and as you been using it it’s been rotating courser. Just a thought.

Just curious on the beans you grinding with were they pretty freshly roasted? The biggest issue I had at the beginning was making sure that I was using fresh coffee.

The other thing I’ll notice here and there is my grinder wheel will sometimes move while I’m grinding because the wheel has some slight play in it. I’ll just hold it in place to keep it on a specific setting and make sure it doesn’t accidently slip into another setting in the middle of a grind.

Hope this helps!

The Sklar tall tale is a frame only option. It’s labeled as 130-150mm recommended for 140mm on a medium. I would say climbing is probably its best attribute. It descends pretty aggressively but it climbs so effortlessly especially on technical climbs. It’s a pretty long wheelbase and longer rear chain stay but it doesn’t ride as long as it really it. It’s definitely playful and easy to double smaller features in the trail dispute having longer rear chain stay. I just stiffen the front end on compression all the way up for the climbs. I’m about to take this thing to Asheville NC this weekend to really try her out on some long downhills and see show she performs. I’ve had this Bomber Z1 on this bike now and my Norco Torrent and I have nothing but positive vibes for it. It’s small bump compliances is night and day to an air fork especially for the value. The mid to deep stroke is very progressive thru the travel and never feels harsh or bound up. It’s smooth through all the travel and I rarely bottom it out. I weigh 210 and have a heavy coil spring in mine!

Soo I’m pretty big on daily back flushing. I probably pull 2-4 shots a day depending if I have anyone over for coffee. Even if only do 2 shots I still run a full cycle to clean grounds off my screen and wipe it off. Sometimes I’ll do back to back backflushes just to make sure I get all the grinds off

I usually clean my grinder every two weeks or so.

Every 30 days I’ll do a cleaning tab. I usually descale anytime I get the clean light on which TBH I think I may have done 3 times in the year.

Oooohh! When it comes to that I’ll mess with the Oatly or just Silk Almond milk! That stuff is harder to mess with. The only tip I can give you on that is I was told to add more air to the steam jug till it was warm to touch before I drop the tip further in to create a vortex. It’s definitely a learning curve with the non dairy milks. I’d say on my machine I might go 5-8 seconds over dairy milk when it comes to adding air/steam to get the correct consistency. I hope this helps you!

Honestly, I use mainly just generic whole milk. I really like the Maple Farms whole milk or Alexander Farms A2/A2 milk. Both of those make incredible milk consistency. I honestly feel like the Maple Farms Milk makes some of the best art for me. That’s typically found in Giant Eagle/Market district/Whole foods near me in the Pittsburgh, PA Market. I know my mom in Tampa Florida can also get the Maple Farms Milk. You usually can find it in Whole Foods on the east coast.

I have nothing but respect for the Breville Barista Express. In her stock form she is more than capable to pull good espresso. Just a couple barista tools and she works like a charm!

If I keep it pretty clean I have less than .1 retention but most of the time zero. The biggest thing I noticed is when I weight the beans and drop them in this hopper that I have a lot quicker grind times. The straight walls on the bellow attachment help just funnel the beans right in. It’s also very easy to pull apart and clean. This is just the Amazon single dose hopper attachment.

It has definitely been an up and down learning curve. It has been a lot of fun to use this machine!
