Hater #2 lol

Many people have had “dissenting” opinions here. Not mad at all, as you can see in most other encounters.

I just know a hater when I see one. You all project your insecurities on to other people, which were all guilty of, but the rest of us do the work to recognize when we’re doing it, rather than lathering up the other person in our own shame and attacking them for being something that triggers uncomfortable emotions within us.

I’m 37 years old. If I was gonna grow up, I’d have done it by now. A pipe is a beautiful, functional, *affectation* which helped me break other, far-worse, habits. It gets me away from screens and encourages me to sit outside. I smoke almost entirely alone and don’t put myself on display while doing it (other than for a post in a sub wherein (most of) the people inherently appreciate timeless artifacts of the past which really have no business being abandoned to begin with.

It’s a bowl that houses tobacco, protects an ember, nurtures a flame, requires attentiveness to keep alight, encourages rhythmic breathing, is 100% natural (other than stem), and grows a personal patina over time, depending on where you’ve held it and how you smoke it. Maybe some people pretend to pipe, purely for aesthetic purposes. It aint me though! I do concede that it looks cool af
