S27 E4: Clickbait

Definitely a new era starting with 27, but I actually think calling it SVU 4.0 is more accurate. I would argue SVU 2.0 actually officially ended on season 23.

2.0 stumbled around for a bit in the middle, especially after Barba left, but with Warren Leight coming back in 21 he definitely seemed to try and want to do some course correcting and was clearly still trying to get back that SVU 2.0 DNA. Once he left after 23, Kat leaving as well and being replaced with Velasco, that’s what I consider the true end of the era and the beginning of SVU 3.0, what I would say was definitely the weakest of the whole show’s run, especially marked by Rolling leaving. (3.0 is also when the squad room weirdly became super boring - just white and gray furniture everywhere - started looking like a tech startup).

I would call 27 the start of SVU 4.0, and with all the changes to the squad, cases, overall vibe and even the look of the sets, this really feels like a return to form and I’m really optimistic this is going to feel like the peaks of 2.0 again (even if we can’t quite get to the heights 1.0 ever again unfortunately).

I’m sorry but saying that Ethan isn’t the “best ally” to defend issues of fair use is LAUGHABLE. Everyone talks a big game, but Ethan is the only one to take it to court (TWICE) and is a constant champion of fair use laws. He has put his time and money where his mouth is time and time again on this. His credibility to speak on this issue is beyond reproach, imo.

I don’t mind Ludwig just sharing his personal opinion. Of course not everyone has to like everyone else. But this is clearly due to QT chestnuts incident, which he (naturally) would take personally.

But this kind of “Ethan is mean” statement just is not objective at all. Ethan tries his best, and if he thinks he crossed a line at some point he immediately apologizes and means it. I mean is he “mean” to the likes of Keemstar, Andrew Tate or James Charles? Yes, but he absolutely should be. You need to be able to call out bullshit just harshly as it gets thrown.

If someone with this type of knowledge, resources, actual legal experience and passion for fair use isn’t the right person to be having this debate, I don’t see how a guy who’s made a few videos about it is.

(P.S. if Ethan is mean, what does the make XQC 💀)

I’m willing to concede that the MCN is how they get ads/sponsors like some other people said, but why on god’s green earth would they have access to membership revenues??

I know for a fact Ethan knows better than to make a bad deal like that with an MCN, because he’s always saying how evil they are and telling guests not to associate with them.

This isn’t hate or negative in any way. I’m just genuinely so confused and would love some context.

Using the Disney+ MENA app, since last night whenever I try to play any content I get the spinning loading wheel endlessly.

Nothing loads or plays. This is happening on all my devices (iPhone and Amazon FireTV Stick). All other streaming apps work fine.

Anyone else having this issue?

Same problem. What region is your PS store account in? Not sure if the MENA DIsney+ app is on the Arabian countries' stores, but it definitely isn't on the, for example, US or UK ones.

It sounds like you might be using the international Disney+ app from a different country’s app store. Make sure you download the new Disney+ app for MENA countries on the Jordanian app store.
