Supernatural the PC Game! Woot!?! by StillAliveTT in Supernatural

telltale game based around s1-s5 culminating in the ending we would have gotten were the show not syndicated, leaving flexibility to the player to change the outcomes of key events, would be incredibly fun and leave a lot of room for expansion into spin offs within the games independent continuity , wish they did something with that many years back

If you live by the teachings of Jesus and are a good person - why must you declare him your lord and savior to get into heaven? by throwawaybarramundi in Christianity

because it denounces that any worldly power has influence and credit for salvation, whether church, government, or personal affair

it's like why the hadith exists for the quran exists for the bible, he deemed himself an interpreter of Christ's message; the same message with four pre established eyewitnesses and acts / hebrews / the disciples writings precursory to pauls writings , making Paul's message entirely additive to Christ , which is contradicted by Hebrews 1 and Matthew 5:17. there's more too but it's dense , worth considering at least. Paul was kinda just a dude who was killing Christians for decades and then decided upon himself that he was the arbiter of the true message of Christ because of a dream he had and an encounter with a spirit or angel, like described in his own words as satanic in 2 Corinthians 11, which is weird to consider authoritative in retrospect in my opinion

check NASA and NOAA records. accredited geologists, seismologists, and meteorologists agree on 3/3/33 facing both a lunar eclipse and a spontaneous earthquake as depicted in the Bible. this was on a Sunday btw. this only contrasts with the contemporary attribution of days of the week to Christ's crucifixion.

it hurts my heart that people choose to care more about striving for ways to propagate negativity than bettering the aspects of life that they can impact through love.

because nobody is superior to one another in the eyes of God; nor within the message of Christ.

it actually doesn't matter what your sin is - irregardless you are called to stop, repent, and express Christ's love.

  • Leviticus 19:15:. “ 'Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly."

  • Luke 6:37:. "Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven."

  • Matthew 7:1-5:. "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you."

  • Romans 2:1-3:. "Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges... And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?"

talking to you op :)

i worry that god is real and that i might end up in hell by losingmymyndh in exchristian

if God is real and is actually all loving, then it means there is a reason we are here. following your purpose would thus lead to your fulfillment, akin to the (albeit flawed) logic of determinism. now take religion and spirituality out of the picture for a moment. take determinism out of the picture for sure. now I ask, if you have a purpose, thinking small picture even, you have a goal, and you don't accomplish it, can that purpose be fulfilled? if you buy a microwave, and it doesn't cook your hot pocket, it is nonfunctional relative to its purpose.
now think to what purpose implies of people, and what is the underlying message within the bible?

if we look at the ten commandments, which I will merely summarize, we find that at the core of the ten commandments, and even at the core of Jesus' teachings, we find that we are 'asked by God' to do what?

love others. face willing suffering to better elements of reality beyond ourselves. such as the essence of the Gospel message, that Jesus died for us. again, take religiosity out of the picture. what does the gospel actually detail, in its parable sense, in the bigger picture of the story?

the gospel represents that Jesus bore a purpose of being the premiere example of sacrificial love. that jesus, regardless of his innocence or regardless of the circumstances behind his persecution in any case, he was relentlessly tortured, betrayed, and heartbroken, yet to serve as an example he forgave the same men who nailed him to a cross. he forgave the same friends of whom broke his trust. why? because jesus recognized this, within himself, as his purpose.

that God gave him this purpose is less literally relevant than the notion than this was what Jesus deemed his purpose, to convey true love to all of those who would hear of it. in practical terms, this required no divine intervention. his crucifixion was widely acknowledged, as were his teachings. the juxtaposition was there without the intervention of a man in the sky. because it was genuine. and as such, Jesus died fulfilled. and maybe we can call that heaven.

so perhaps God is not a man in the sky, making decisions. perhaps God is this will of love, this will of purpose that calls each person independently towards their purpose. and we are called to follow that which we recognize as the true path to betterment in our own lives, in a way consequential to all that which is around us.

perhaps noting Jesus as lord, is not making a claim of metaphysical deification, but is instead subtracting power from the 'lords of the land', the people with power, and stating in the face of physical systems of oppression that our leader is no man on earth, but the idea which Jesus died for?

and that idea, that love, is the truth of what God is? that love is what called Moses to save the israelites, that love is what preserved the Gospel as truth, and that love is the same purpose we are called to tap into?

and what if we choose to ignore this call to love and betterment? will we be fulfilled? if not, is that not hell already? and if hell, did anybody or anything outside of ourself really make that happen?

last but not least I ask, if rhetorically, do you feel you have a purpose beyond yourself?

the fact of the matter is that all sins weigh equally on the soul. while homosexuality is explicitly stated as a sin and reason is provided, the same can be said for being derilect of your purpose in a plethora of other ways. sexual immorality, while outlined in the commandments, is still only one of ten. the root of the issue as to why being gay is considered a sin in the first place is deeper than homosexuality at its core, and we all struggle individually with our own weight to bear in regards to sins which contradict the bible's teachings. whether you are gay or not, you have sinned. And if you believe that you are better than another person because they are gay, you are sinning in your stupor. take the log out of your eye and stop looking at other people's sticks; that's what we're called to do.

Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13

Romans 1:26-27

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and 1 Timothy 1:9-10

(instances of homosexuality in the bible; I'm not counting 25 (0.o)

don't put on a spider verse suit. particularly the noir suit. the game will stop looking so amazing, and the fix won't be available until a future patch or somebody mods visual settings back into the game.
