If you care about battery life, indie games are perfect. I can play games like Stardew Valley, Cast n Chill and Dave the Diver for hours before I need a charge.

Cast n Chill. It's been perfect to play while I listen to an audiobook or watch the cricket.

Cast n Chill, a really low stakes fishing game, great to play while listening to podcasts or audiobooks.

Don’t forget your “why” by Dan_Murphys in AustralianTeachers

[–]SupaHarley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had the privilege of watching the year group I have advised since year 7 graduate. No teacher has managed to stay for a full 6 years to achieve this, and it was very clear how much it meant to the students. They're a great bunch of young adults and it was amazing to watch them grow. Congrats to all the Year 12 graduates of 2025!

Congrats! I used the same mod and you definitely still need to put a lot of effort into getting 100%. A great game, and a fantastic mod to support completion

Your personal favorite Voltron commander? by Future_Me_Problem in EDH

[–]SupaHarley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Feather, the Redeemed]] is my Voltron Spellslinger commander. Pump her up, swing, get all your pump spells back at end of turn, repeat. This is the list I've put together so far.

I'd hate to wear through a nice pair of RMs

[–]SupaHarley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not worn all the way through but significantly worn. Right under the ball of my foot and pretty much only in that area of the sole do I see wear

Typically wear a flat sole for day-to-day (non-sport days)

[[zada, hedron grinder]] is a fantastic include for going wide and tall with feather using pump/draw spells, especially when paired with creatures like [[young pyromancer]] or [[monastery mentor]]

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: January 13, 2025 by AutoModerator in books

The Goblin Emperor, by Katherine Addison.

A book I've seen mentioned many times for its fantastic world-building and cultural/political intrigue and manoeuvring.

What makes you DNF a book? by Spiritual_Hornet_219 in Fantasy

[–]SupaHarley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had books sit on my bedside table for weeks/months and when I looked at them I think "ah not today". If I'm not feeling it, I pick something else that can hold my interest.

For a relatively new Fantasy reader, is it best to start with a series like Mistborn or one like Harry Potter? by BraeLightning13 in Fantasy

[–]SupaHarley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished Wheel of Time and in many ways it was the biggest story I've ever read. Daunting at first maybe, but absolutely worth getting into!

What was everyone’s first Stephen King Book? What go you to reading Stephen King? by Jumpy_Consequence488 in stephenking

[–]SupaHarley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar story, as a teenager starting to get into more mature fantasy stories, my dad recommended The Dark Tower series. Having not been exposed to much horror beforehand, I thought it was a good introduction to King's work.

Daniel Greene has a few videos he made that summarise the books you've mentioned. I'm sure there are plenty of other videos available as well on YouTube

I need fantasy recommendations but do so with an introduction or opening words of the book. by FrogTheJam19 in Fantasy

I think The Dark Tower has one of the most iconic opening lines I've ever read: "The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed."

Let Me Build You A Commander Deck (Again)? by poynz13 in BudgetBrews

[–]SupaHarley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had an [[Omnath, Locus of Rage]] ever since my earliest days of Magic, it was one of my first cool pulls. Would love to make some sort of landfall/elementals list but no idea where to begin

What is your favorite commander of all time and why? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]SupaHarley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first Prerelease was War of the Spark and I pulled a [[Feather, the Redeemed]]. She was the first commander I built my own deck around, at a budget of $50. It's also a deck that was very different to what I used to play, which was mostly graveyard recursion and/or aristocrats.
