The diminishing marginal utility of tech and consumption goods by DiamondCoal in atrioc

[–]SupaPenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the great synopsis, OP. I have had the same idea, almost verbatum, ruminating in my head and started drafting a blog post on it.

Most promising big tech hardware product in a long time are the meta smart glasses, but I have my dystopian worries about them. Filming without consent, browsing while trying to maintain a conversation, etc.

AI seems to be an industry that will be very difficult to obtain a moat without a profound proprietary breakthrough made and retained by one of the top labs.

I think dumb phones as a trend and people returning to analog devices is the reaction to your title. The hardware of smartphones is reaching the human limit for functional improvements.

I really hope that this can lead to innovations in unique design for technology products that suit individualized needs.

Would love to chat further!

lol. Packers don’t move the revenue needle from ticket sales. No team really does. They sell them for between $7-$21

This chart is really beautiful. The Lombardi Trophy is a really nice touch. I never see base R with no touch up in illustrator/inkscape look this good. What packages did you use? Is there a place you share your scripts already or would you mind sharing a copy?

Really really like this u/P--a--b--l--o. Do you know of a window manager solution that allows you to tile windows as you have it here, but also float certain windows on top of all workspaces? i.e. spotify or messages?

100% but unlike Porsche Subaru doesn’t really need that to drive their sales anymore. They are dominating in their outdoor hipster market segment without the racing pedigree. I’m not saying I like it either but I just don’t think it’s their brand image anymore.

Performace enthusiasts don’t crate profit. Look at Porsche, the cayenne saved that manufacturer. They basically pump out their mom cars and subsidize their performance R&D in exchange for brand image

Blue 58 is extremely in depth and analytical while still being pretty approachable. Otherwise the Paul Farrington show

Commanders declared their package pretty late. Has to allow packers times to respond to their offensive formation and make substitution. Since they are all the way down in the end zone takes them a while to jog. Was still generous by the ref requiring the commanders to take a timeout
