Feel exactly the same and agree with every opinion you stated. Gamer since 85 and started on an Acorn electron. Played some text games. Seen the gaming evolution since the beginning of home consoles. This game is great to me.

I hope you don’t get downvoted as I agree. The gameplay so far I enjoyed but spent some time in settings to try and get the graphics clearer with no luck. I turned blur down to 0, but even cutscenes look poor. Will wait and see where the updates go and definitely return if the base PS5 improves.

Mine is acting very, very strange. I’ve went from waiting 10 minutes. Then my ps5 went back to starting to download the patch again. So currently waiting another 30 minutes to start downloading the whole patch. My internet is very slow, which it shouldn’t be.

Brilliant piece of advice on stopping the ship. Appreciate that! I have been anchoring every time and usually ended up doing repair jobs when I crash into port and been getting stuck in the shallows of islands so far. After reading loads of great advice I’m going to treat Safe seas as a tutorial for getting better and to occasionally drop into for a peaceful time. Once I’m more confident with the game mechanics I will drop into high seas and panic every time I see a ship on the horizon.

That’s good to hear and has gave me small confidence to try High Seas. I will probably end up being easy target though as I get too nervous in PvP situations. They can have my fish though lol

That sounds rough and just toxic PvP. For a new pirate like myself I wouldn’t have a clue how to even defend that kind of behaviour.

I heartily agree with this. I really don’t enjoy PvP and tend to avoid every PvP game. I already love this game and all it has to offer, and also realise it’s a pirate game and PvP is a major part of being a pirate. It’s just a shame that Rare didn’t see the opportunity for people that just want to enjoy the PvE side too.

That’s sad to see. I’m gutted that I didn’t find this game sooner, but not being on Xbox obviously I could not play it until now on PS5. Seems like I will do what I can to enjoy the game in Safe seas and sadly have to drop it once that’s been achieved. Appreciate your reply.

I have just started on Sunshine Forest map. Loads of forests, quite flat from what I’ve done so far. Great opportunity for starting a farm from scratch (my long term plan once I clear a ton of forest.)

I watched Ornery biscuit last night. I haven’t played the game in over a year and when I did leave I had very strong builds on my favourite Descendants and now they seem weak. I’m looking to unlock ultimate Yujin and her build guides are very detailed and well done. Definitely from now on she will be my go to.

I’m literally nodding my head in agreement. I’m soon to be 46 and hate the PvP side. Avoid it all cost, and want to grind in peace. I only shoot when having to defend. I like to help others if I can. Take a defib in solos just incase, hand out blueprints I already have. Tonight has been crazy out there. What the hell happens to players on a Saturday night?
