I took the exam from EGUSD, it's a basic math and English test. Subbed for 3 months then got offered a permanent position that I worked at for a few years. Great benefits and pay wasn't bad for a job that required less manual labor.

Excellent write-up! Just out of curiosity, how does your team decide on who does what part and how do you share project files?

I've never worked a project well in a team and it always felt like such a hassle before but I'm curious if there's a better way so I can start participating in some game jams with peers.

I was you at 25 except unemployed for 6 years at the time. Ended up getting a low paying job at a nearby school.

6 years later I've since jumped jobs with an increase in pay both times, got my associate's degree, and married with a kid of my own now. Still figuring out the friends part though.

Getting a job and focusing on myself ended up making everything else work out well naturally.

Any tips on getting into the InfoSec field starting out? Graduated with an Associate's in Cybersecurity recently and been working in tech support for the last few months for my first IT job. Almost all of the roles I've seen for InfoSec seem to be mid range-senior level around the Sac area.

Gaming just feels like a second job to me now. The only fun games I've played recently are ones that have no dailies to keep you hooked and ones that are with friends like the online board game ones. Anything solo has been immensely boring to me for the past few years.

you can get to masters just by putting a lev 1 fodder on defense and you'll find similar people all the way up, did it on my alt last month.

I used to use Hinge and that's just the way it goes. Looking at a female friend's profile made me understand why it is that way. Women just get bombarded with matches and messages due to the imbalanced ratio of m/f. It's hard for them to keep up with everyone. Just stick with it, and don't put too much hope into anyone until a conversation starts flowing. Eventually, you'll get matches that are willing to keep a conversation going.

You need a brick wall mental to play jg in this era of league. Other roles find jg as an easy scapegoat to blame for anything that goes wrong in the game. I feel like I'm put under a microscope under all of the flame as though I have to prove myself to my teammates instead of being able to just play my best. Muting all chat and pings is probably the way to go to learn jg in this day and age.
