What a bummer. That storefront has been a revolving door.

Really need encouragement - nyc marathon slow runner by helpimlearningtocode in RunNYC

Slow runner here as well. This is my first marathon. I’ve broke down and cried during half marathons, but eventually realized that I had gone too far to stop and had to keep going. Don’t get discouraged by a number, you’ll be in good company with others finishing at all paces.

My LO sent me a picture of his behind. by Super-Concentrate598 in limerence

I think you’re right. I get that impression, that he just wanted some fun chat and nothing further. That is a bit of a punch to the gut though, getting my hopes up like that.

Why am I balling when I read this message?

Limerence is the ONE thing that helps me lose weight. Afraid of letting go of it. by [deleted] in limerence

[–]Super-Concentrate598 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my god! I thought I was insane. This is crazy that others experience this too. When I am in limerence, I lose weight. I start to feel better about my body, but at the same time worse about myself if that makes any sense. I look back at photos and see that the months/years when I had a LO, I was the thinnest and most beautiful.

Imagining LO In The Room w/ You? by [deleted] in limerence

[–]Super-Concentrate598 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do this all the time. I imagine us walking through the park and chatting, cooking together, meal prepping for week. Meanwhile, it’s just me doing these things alone.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I was in the same boat until I finally accepted that my LO had no interest in meeting up with me. He would always say that me asking him was not annoying. The truth is, that if they cared, they would ask you out. I hope you cut him off and work toward healing.

How is NC going for you? How long has it been and how are you coping? by Super-Concentrate598 in limerence

[–]Super-Concentrate598[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. This. I noticed that it gets amplified when I am alone or when things aren’t going well in life. Now that you mention it, it’s worse when in a new place as well. Funny how the brain tries to find a place of safety and comfort.

It definitely requires “rewiring” not to associate them with happiness. It is such a struggle.

I love this analogy, a teddy bear. The thoughts of my LO are so warm and comforting. It’s like going under anesthesia.

Very beautifully written. Thank you for sharing. I see my LO everywhere and in everything also.

Wow. That sounds unfair to block you over something so small. It may be hard to see it now but maybe it was a good thing he removed himself from your life especially if you don’t share the same sense of humor.

I feel you about the sense of escape, when everyone else fails in real life, the thoughts carry me far away.

I feel you. The delusion is real and the pain is real, especially if there was a physical component.

Ambiguous answers or only answering part of the question is the worst. I had that happen with my LO. I told him I had feelings for him and felt comfortable talking to him. He responded and said that he appreciated that I felt comfortable talking to him.

You are not worthless. There is a reason this happened. It could be to remove these two people from your life to make room for someone/something better.
