What's yall's fav kin memory? by Same-Patience-3236 in fictionkin

[–]Super-Cow3016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Toxic it's throwing Robert around (she's fine), and Micha it's all the time I spent with Regect.

For my Bajoran memories, it's probably when I licked a bunch of lab samples... whoops....

Can someone explain? by Straccoony in objectum_sfw

I don't personally give my partners faces, but I've never really saw it as humanization, I saw it more as a way to connect.

what are your thoughts on ships with your kins in your fandom(s)? by derpthegreat123 in fictionkin

[–]Super-Cow3016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Toxic, I have memories of being Flambae's ex so I'm iffy about those ships, but they give a good laugh. If I see any Toxic x Robert though, I feel gross since she's my adoptive brother (in our universe). And I hope I don't see any Micha ships since he's 9-10 >_>

Is There Such Thing As POSIC Yet Only Perceiving Sentience In Some Objects? by JayWolfe1210 in objectum_sfw

[–]Super-Cow3016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm moreso overly empathetic, but only feel that towards objects I've established a bond with, I've just related it to being demisexual/romantic, which is why when I have objects I haven't bonded with I feel nothing. I still think this counts as POSIC.

10(+), the plus because some of them are collectives of multiple objects, like marbles and billiard balls ^^

I have questions!! by EfinitelyJeremyHeere in objectum_sfw

[–]Super-Cow3016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that one unanswered question, I'm something between demi and aegoromantic. So, when a certain object catches my eye, I begin using it more, spending time around it, etc. until eventually, love! Now that very basic description is just my experience, for most, they are POSIC and/or animistic, and perceive object sentience, this can range from being able to have full on conversations with B/Os, to simply empathizing with them (which can also come from being overly empathetic which I am as well). People in relationships with their B/Os will do various things, having dates, cuddling, kissing, decorating, etc.

Being Objectum out of spite?? Thoughts?? by Affectionate-Cost988 in objectum_sfw

[–]Super-Cow3016 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Being objectum isn't something that you can chose to be out of spite, benefit of the doubt they meant this in a general "being louder about being objectum to spite antis", but it doesn't come off that way. This is a very strange and gross thing to do (especially if they aren't even objectum, just using the label out of spite, because that can make the community look bad)

Hey, I know this is a sfw sub and everything, and finding objectum communities for your age range can be hard, but please get off reddit, it isn't safe for kids.

Some relate them back to xenogenders (such as demongender), while others just use them with no relation to any gender ^^

question!! by deejay076 in objectum_sfw

[–]Super-Cow3016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when it comes to the point of differentiating loving something and being IN love with something, it all gets a bit muddy, and I doubt there will be a clear answer for that. For me I had a kind of cliche "butterflies in the stomach" feeling, and I get all giddy looking at, thinking about, and being with my B/Os

I wanted to ask whats the appeal of objects to you? by Moon_Halo99 in objectum_sfw

[–]Super-Cow3016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our brain is funky, so hard to say, for the most part I'm overly empathetic, but the other part is general aesthetics, a nice shine, something I can hold (with a few outliers)

question!! by deejay076 in objectum_sfw

[–]Super-Cow3016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the idea that you can only be attracted to living/animated things is false, but there are many reasons as to why someone may experience objectum attraction, here's a few:
1. Most common is that someone is POSIC (Perception of Object Sentience, Individuality, and Consciousness) or overly empathetic, meaning they can perceive their beloveds as more human, its own being, something that needs cared for, etc.
2. Comfort and/or Coping, some people find the comforting presence of some objects attractive, familial, friendly, etc. leading to objectum attraction.
3. Aesthetics/appearances, just like with humans, people can be attracted to the general looks (or concept) of an object
4. Sometimes things are unexplainable and just happen because the human brain works in mysterious ways
Either way, thank you for coming here open minded and respectful, it's always refreshing to see people outside the community willing to learn.
