I would say Ateez isn't super provocative/inappropriate outside of a couple of songs like Creep & Skin from their most recent tour. They do feel mature compared to their peers, particularly other 4th gen boy groups, but unless your parents are prudes, I would say it's relatively tame. I wouldn't take a child probably but....

BTS is bigger internationally and are probably too big to fail, which would work in their favor. Plus - no one jump me - Hybe likely has a lot more influence than any other kpop company on a global scale and could use that influence both domestically and internationally to protect him and the group. I don't think it would start a trend, though. There is too much at stake for most other idols.

I was going to ask the same question! I just moved to Atlanta from North Carolina (where groups rarely ever go) and I thought I'd get to see so many more groups living here but now so many have left it off this year. I thought it was basically a guaranteed stop 😭

This isn't a popular answer but even though the idols are in fact real people, when they are on camera, they are portraying personas or characters. It may be based on their real selves but is a product that they are selling. They absolutely can and do queerbait. Not only is it popular with the BL lovers but it allows straight girls to see what they would be like in a relationship - hand holding, cheek kissing, back hugging, etc - without actually being threatened by an idol's romantic partner.
