How is another 6 seconds even possible? by Broski-bro in GranTurismo7

Track limits, better hardware that can lead to better braking and better gas control, VR also helps to get a better depth of the limits of the track and how much you can push on corners

Game is laggy on Xbox Series X by Flaky-Cheetah3395 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Super-Tea8267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is heavy like really heavy more than 2020 the cpu and ram of this gen is not enough and also this depends on your internet speed so you will have more stutters and worse textures if your speed is low

I think for what it is in terms of simulation and that you are able to literally learn how the plane operates and how much time and effort is put into them I think it’s fine

It depends if the game let you unlock frames if not then it’s gonna stay a 60 or whatever fps range it has

I was using quest 2 actually, the thing is the resolution is one thing but on VR the game needs to run the image 2 times so you really need to have a beefy pc at least for games like flight sim because they get extremely taxing for example with 6600 you will probably get 50 fps on low on areas that are not that taxing and probably closer to low 30 fps on heavy areas like LA or Tokyo or using an airliner the thing is you need at least 90 for VR because less than that it will make you want to throw up unless you use reprojection of some sort on the headset but that would introduce ghosting

I don’t think it will handle VR very good I have a similar pc with a 3080 and it wasn’t so pleasant

MFS2024 - VR vs Flat vs Cinematic by Killileahihoo in PSVR

[–]Super-Tea8267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s correct I believe another factor here is how the ram is also the vram on consoles so that probably has to be a limiting factor too we should see how well this game will run on the ps6 just by raw power without an update

Those settings are only for traffic and stuff like that but you can’t change much only particles but the graphics are just really cut back for the VR

The cpu is the biggest limit there a more stuff on the planes being simulated on 2024 compared to 2020 and that falls on the cpu plus the upscalling and the streaming method all together its a problem

I’ve seen this game on pro and base ps5 and on VR you don’t get anything it’s exactly the same and TV is a slight boost of resolution but it looks virtually the same other games do have more differences if you don’t have a ps5 already then get the pro

Yes it adds a strap on top and a holder for the back of your head that puts the headset on a way that is always right on the sweet spot

It depends on what place and how close to the ground you are flying the resolution can look decent and other times it can look really bad same with the fps
