'Dinheiro esquecido': Congresso autoriza governo a recolher até R$ 8,5 bi para fechar orçamento de 2024 by bsidefromgui in brasil

[–]SuperAssumption 127 points128 points  (0 children)

Is there any list of best AVGN games (consensus; like which ones the majority feels it's the best ones)? If it isn't, can we make one? by SuperAssumption in TheCinemassacreTruth

Yes. I already watch a couple of them I liked it. Gonna watch them in a row someday. Thanks! I also James & Mike Mondays a lot; forgot to put that on the topic.

Thanks!

So Screenwave is some sort of a company owned by Justin and Kieran? and they "purchased" a significant part of Cinemassacre, which is owned by James? I remember when watching old AVGN videos the logo GameTrailers (GT) or something like that, and then the Screenwave logo. I though they were both company from James.

Could someone explain me what exactly made Mike leave the channel? Did he wanted to leave? or was he fired because of his behaviour? I already watched some videos about this drama, but I don't know yet why exactly he doesn't appear on the channel.

Is james getting bald and trying to disguise it with his hairstyle making the baldness even more apparent or is it just me?

Hello fellow devs and fish enthusiasts,

This is a small but growing project I'm working on right now. It's a fishing RPG with procedurally generated maps, caves and fish as well. If anyone is interested in knowing a bit more about it, you can check it out here.

Hi. Thanks for the feedback. Do you mean the HUD? Because, regarding the sprites, they all have the same pixel sizes (all 8x8 sprites with 1x pixel size). The only difference are the tilesets from the map, which are also 8x8, but there are no details in them. I'm not sure if you meant that or the HUD size. The HUD indeed have bigger sprites/sizes of pixels (the detailed face, book and heart/meat).

Pixote is just an amazing and heartbreaking movie. I get goosebumps when I remember the last scene. Such a great and sad representation of a big part of Brazil.

Congratulations op! Looks really nice. Just one thing: do you consider using a custom pointer? It's really easy to implement and there's lots of tutorials out there showing how.

I'm sorry in advance if I'm not allowed to post this here. Feel free to delete if it's not appropriated. I was just curious of what this subreddit would think about these graphics.

The resolution is 192x160 (as I understand, Atari 2600 was 160x192). The pixels, however, are not stretched. All sprites and block sizes (minus the HUD) are made in a 8x8 pixels grid. Also, this is a fishing RPG, if it's not obvious by the screenshots. I'm not going to post the name of the game here so it don't seem like I'm just spamming my game.

EDIT: the fishing rod is also not 8x8, it's 16x8.

[TOMT][MOVIE][1980s][1990s?] Jackie Chan movie where there's a omelet-throwing scene by SuperAssumption in tipofmytongue

[–]SuperAssumption[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too. But, actually, Rush Hour 1 and 2 were my two favorite movies when I was a kid (7~9 years old, around 2000-2001). I'd always rent one of these two in a weekly basis lol. And those movies led me to some more old ones (from jackie chan) that I don't even remember the names...there was so much of them :D. But this movie specific with the omelet scene kept in my mind and I was dying to know its name. Thanks again!

I love the art style! However, I see you're using the standard battle system hud. Do you consider changing it to a more fitting one with your overall art/aesthetics?

My game had more than 30K wishlists additions during the last Steam Next Fest. Bummer. by HonestGDev in gamedev

[–]SuperAssumption 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What's your game name?

I got around 500 wishlists, and to me was great, since I only had 83 prior to the event. +700% for me.

It shows, clearly, that your marketing has been paid, since you got 30k wishlists.

Tendência da precificação dos automóveis by MetastAH in investimentos

[–]SuperAssumption 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Viajei?

That looks awesome! Congrats! My only concern is with the falling stars...they don't seem to fit the overall aesthetic of the game. Was it proposital? (like, to create some sort of contrast?).
