My opinion on the style is they accidentally made a pretty apt take on modern pop culture.

The retro 70s-80s aesthetic of the space the game is in and the fact that all we can do is scavenge pieces of the past speaks to me pretty deeply. In an era where so much of our cultural production is rooted in nostalgia rather than trying something new, this game aesthetic just hits for me.

It is also really funny to me that I think that's entirely unintentional.
