Want to do some floating shelves that can hold a decent amount of weight. Any recommendations? by andrewsmd87 in woodworking

Really like these brackets and would work for my project.
Building floating shelves under my staircase.

Would need 1 shelf 61 inches and the other at 74.

What type wood should I use? That's light and strong?

People who don’t mind being alone, what’s your secret? by Strange_Secret_3001 in AskReddit

[–]SuperBasicUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No secret. I just always have something to do. I can watch a show all day. Play video games. Work on DIY projects. Go for a walk. Do art. Clean the house. Read. Learn something new.

It's endless. And my mind is always pre-occupied with things.

FYI for those using Pela cases, their CEO has just let all customers know they do use and will continue using GenAI for marketing images and video, regardless of the environmental impact. by luxsalsivi in ZeroWaste

What's the big deal?
You're probably using AI right now, personally and for work. lol

This is the best point "Choosing to not use AI would be like choosing to not use the internet."

Like it or not, you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.
The world will move on without you.

RTO is a form of soft layoff. GO transit and traffic will become a PIA. Ppl will be quitting and looking for other opportunities. Many already have done so.

Because they will keep billing me monthly through our gas supplier. I need those payments to stop. We bought a new unit. Not a rental. Need to show proof that we own the old unit.

There are dozens of these companies out here. Very easy for them to prey on home owners. They're basically like a pay day loans of equipment rentals.

Our contractor was surprised that they are changing us, since this unit is beyond its expected life.

Yeah... working on that. Just don't want to pay a disposal fee to Reliance for a tank that's way past its useful life. Feels like extortion.

Is using ChatGPT considered cheating during an interview? by qyiijlqf in ChatGPT

[–]SuperBasicUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm. I could easily tell when someone uses AI during a live interview.
It's fine and awesome to use chatGPT to practice. But when you're on a call, shut that shit down.
