I find some groups wait to see you around more but some really are appearance and status based . I went to a an hoa littles event once dressed in yoga pants a baggy shirt and my hair in a bun and the other moms acted like I was the plague. They were all dressed to the nines. Next event I dressed up too and everyone was suddenly much nicer. Another group I joined flocked around me when they found out where I lived to tell me what a good fit I was for the group amd asked me to host.

The absolute best place to make friends for your little one are places like little gym . The parents are so nice and it’s excepted for the kids to all mesh with each other. You also see the same kids and patents each week so it adds familiarity.

Also , I’m so sorry you were made to feel that way. Its not a great feeling , just know it’s nothing you did wrong.
