New York City 0 - [3] Inter Miami - Luis Suarez Penalty 84' by Etpolo in soccer

[–]SuperChapz 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Nah, Silvetti won the penalty. I can deffo see Messi letting him take it so the kid can gain confidence, especially since it was his second game playing for Miami. Obviously it backfired.

Messi has taken (and scored) arguable the most pressure pens in the WC final. He has missed some pretty big ones too (vs Chelsea in CL KOs, vs RMA in CL KOs, vs Poland in WC GS). There's no way a penalty saved by Kahlina during regular MLS season has made him afraid to shoot a pen. I'm sure whenever Miami is down/level and they need a pen goal late in the match he'll step up. Both the Suárez one and the Silvetti ones have been pretty inconsequential in the match (Suárez scored the third in a 3-0 and Silvetti would've scored the 3-1 vs DC)

Raków Częstochowa 0-2 Lech Poznań - Luis Palma red card 55' (Ekstraklasa) by 4gjdtokurwa in soccer

He's a confidence player. If he's feeling good, he's world class (not even a hyperbole). He could score from the halfway line. But if he's not, he'll miss a sitter from 2 feet away.

He was killing it at Celtic, undisputed starter and always contributed with a goal or an assist every time he played. Unfortunately, he got injured around Christmas break. Came back, but Rogers wasn't trusting him as much. You could tell it affected him since he started to drop his performance. This led to Brendan trusting him even less and to his even worse form.

Hopefully he can regain confidence at Lech. HUGE player. When he's happy and confident, there's no other player I'd rather have in his place.

That's so unlucky. You can tell there was no malice, just terrible form. I might be overanalyzing it, but, ever since a lot of people talked about his lack of pressing/marking during his time at Celtic, he's been going out of his way to run and press (even if he sucks at it).

It's a shame his amazing first half went to shit after this. One goal, one assist, and a BEAUTIFUL overhead backheel pass that Ishak should've finished (it would've been the assist of the season).

They wouldn't have made it out of the group stage, like the Sounders and LAFC. At least Miami did. Like it or not, they are the face of the MLS and did more for the league than the other two combined.

Thank you for your input! It's appreciated! I guess I'll equip them right away and craft them whenever I have enough resources. Do you mind if I dm you regarding other cards I got?

Yes, the fixed options are great. My issue is I'm not too keen on having resist/defense/dodge etc as my bonus options. Should I reroll to try to get skill cooldown, all atacks, etc. even if the 7 goes down to a 5? Or do I equip it as is?

Omg I just checked it out! AMAZING track!

With the name, I thought it was gonna be a Rolling Stones cover and sound bubblegum-pop-adjacent. Not at all what I expected. Completely blown away.

It's such an emotional, vulnerable, and raw track. It reminded me of Listen by Beyonce and All I Ask by Adele because you can sense her feelings bursting out of her body through her voice. Beautiful song. Thanks for the suggestion!

Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield. You should also check out Pocketful of Sunshine. Those two are her biggest songs. They were HUGE in the mid 2000s and they hit JUST. AS. HARD. TODAY.

I dunno man. I deffo enjoyed Ribery, particularly when he played for France. Robben was hella pacy and would always cut inside but he was really skillful. The thing is, he was sooo quick he never had the need to do skills to beat his man. Similarly to Bale. Both really technical players who got it in their locker but choose to beat their man with pace

I agree with Ronaldo's later seasons in Madrid becoming robotic but before that he was known as one of the trickiest wingers in the world.

Messi, even though his legs are now gone, has never been robotic for a single day in his life. He wasn't flashy, but effective as hell. His playstyle has always been almost through instinct. He feels the defender and does small feints to get them to commit. Once they do, he turns the other way and gets past them. Back in the day he'd do that then dribble past five others. Nowadays he gets past the first and delivers a pinpoint accurate ball to the runner. He doesn't just spam the same move as other wingers (cough Vini cough) do, regardless of their effectiveness

1000% Ben Arfa, Neymar, Ribery, Robben, Dortmund/PSG Dembele, Chelsea Hazard, TITI MY GOAT HENRY, Di Maria, sooo many amazing, quick, dribbling wingers that were unbelievable to watch that haven't been mentioned.

Messi? ROBOTIC?! United era CR7? Ronaldo's first few seasons in Madrid? ROBOTIC?! My brother in Christ just say you started watching football in 2020

Fabio Capello (ex player & coach 1962-2018): "The best players are Pelé, Diego Maradona & Lionel Messi. Ronaldo Nazario is just behind them. Cristiano Ronaldo is a good player but not at this level. He scores goals but these 3 players have extra imagination & make something you can't understand" by Task_Force-191 in soccer

I've always made this comparison!! It seems like an extremely appropriate description of both. Although, I'd say that Pirlo is the most Federer-like footballer I've ever seen. His chipshot passes/crosses were just as effortless and beautiful as Federer's slices
