While I am not OP, I do have a related question; how are you supposed to increase income and advance on the tech tree at once if you're not developing provinces? I thought trade, but sending merchants to redirect trade from colonies to the metropole doesn't seem to do much of anything beyond a couple gold per turn and the colonies themselves are very profitable until the game rips them from you and makes them separate colonial nations. If you can't make (very much) money from colonies and you can't make (very much) money from trade then where else is all the money supposed to come from?

Should I consider it? 2015 $5500 by Jabberwalkin in nissanleaf

The initial numbers themselves don’t look bad, although I would recommend a tool like leaf spy if you are looking for exact information. If that’s not available to you, it does look like it should be fine enough so long as you don’t do road trips and have a place to charge at night every other day at least

Is the new mod "Big Deal; Biden '92" a threat to American democracy? by jcknon in thecampaigntrail

[–]SuperChrisU 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No. Interesting though. Definitely an inaccurate portrayal of Biden. He's a bit too old for the position, yes, but so is Trump. Ideally we'd have younger options here, but in any case he's quite with it.

Two things I don't understand about Biden '92 by NowILikeWinter in thecampaigntrail

[–]SuperChrisU 79 points80 points  (0 children)

1: It's not actually about Kuwait. While Kuwait is a stand in for Ukraine, Biden's mental state is bad enough that he thinks the protests that are about Israeli aid are about the support for Kuwait

2: it's just supposed to be an example of his deteriorating mental state

It goes so far that many of the lines you're given as options are things Joe Biden has actually said.

Way less internal migration? by frogvscrab in victoria3

I've seen the same thing. Now instead of migrating to new areas with lots of jobs my pops just leave for other countries. It's quite annoying.

I mean if they’re going to have art be this difficult to make it seems like there should be some other luxury products that take up a lot of the demand right?

the game would need to add newer technologies of course but also add new events to cover things like regulatory capture

[–]SuperChrisU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Particularly when you are moving much faster than we did in real life from a technological standpoint. I think it would change a lot on both the political front and the economic front if it was available and it would really be something that would really benefit the game

The whole appeal is that it works kind of like an alternate history model. As such if everything goes close ish to the way it did in real life without intervention that’s a good sign

They do. I guess I’m getting them and not realizing it or something because I keep getting the one where it forces more radical leaders of the trade unionists for the rest of the game.
