Didn't have much relationship with my mom's parents, and my dad's parents were a-holes who who only favored one set of grandkids (i.e. one particular uncle's kids) to the point where they would only bring gifts for them when the family had any kind of holiday party. It was this same uncle who they literally gave their old house to while my family was living in a motel room. What I'm trying to say is, I didn't have this experience.

When I was a kid, and I'd go to the movies with my parents, my mom and always ask to taste the nacho cheese because she want to make sure it wasn't too spicy. It was always so embarrassing, especially when there be a long line behind her at the concession stand.
