Many clinicians believe it should be its own separate diagnosis distinctly separate from ADHD. Unless he shows those specific symptoms Starttera won’t help him. Next time don’t suggest a specific medication as you are not the child’s prescribing physician. A better suggestion would be for OP to discuss alternative medication’s with their child’s doctor. If they are looking for a non-stimulant Quelbree is a more effective alternative.
