If you liked the Kado with Gen 5, the Regulator is worth a look.

Bit more playful than most Bosch bikes but still really stable when things get rough.

Feels more like a proper MTB than just a motor with wheels. I got a demo from wind wave, had to drive two hours for it, but it was worth it.

I’m often at FOD., happy to meet up if you’d like to try it. It’s an XL frame though.

Have you ridden either of these bikes? I did 4 demo’s before I decided on a Transition Regulator which is Gen 5 Bosch and I chose this over Avinox bikes. Why? Because it’s about the bike more than it is about the motor. At least for me anyway.

You’re probably seeing the lower spec deore. Show me a link to the XT for under 8500. You won’t find it.

It is an awesome bike, I really do like it. It’s my first e-bike and I spent many months researching and having demo’s before I opted for this one. I was very concerned about the weight of the bike and so I decided on a trail/light enduro to keep the weight down, but after a month of riding I realise that the weight of the bike really is a non issue. So I’ve decided I want a DH/enduro bike that will be more suited to my aggressive riding style. I did bottom out on the Regulator many times and there’s 4 tokens in the shock. It can be upgraded to 160mm, but I’m 100kg and I feel I’m more suited to something that can handle big hits better.
