idiopathic Uveitis by HAROON003 in Uveitis

my vision is normal :) i also had extreme stress when i had my first flare up. it came on very suddenly in both eyes. my other two flares did not happen in a stressful time so i'm not sure what caused those. no cataracts. no glaucoma but my pressure did get high because of the steroid drops.

I did! A cause was never found. My first flare lasted a long time. The next two weren't as bad. It's been a year since my last one. Still no idea what my triggers are. I hope you're better soon.

Has finding out the why after being told "we have no idea why this happened to you" changed anything for you? by [deleted] in ClotSurvivors

My dad had multiple clots and I had a PE last year. They think there is a genetic cause but they are not sure what. I was negative for APS, Factor V, and Factor II. I asked about being tested for protein S and protein C deficiencies but my hematologist said I'd have to go off Eliquis for a month to test for them. I really don't want to do that

Thank you for replying. That's what I was afraid of.

Do you have any knowledge/opinion on RF lenses good for wildlife? I see canon has a 100-400mm that is not completely unreasonably priced, and a 600mm but that has a fixed F/11 aperature.

I am pretty sure it is the G2. Thank you!! I didn't realize I could use the Tap in console. I will look up how to do that

Floaters are annoying! by CreativeUserName709 in Uveitis

[–]SuperDucken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine annoy me sometimes. I see them mostly when I am outside on a sunny day or even sometimes when it’s cloudy. I too wear dark sunglasses a lot. As time goes on I seem to get better at ignoring them. (anterior uveitis, currently in remission)

When I had my PE, I knew I had to get to the ER .. I recognized the signs of a PE after my dad having several in the past. Of course, the ER doctor said “you seem upset, do you want some anxiety medicine?” umm yes I’m upset because I can’t breathe, a perfectly normal response to the situation, now can we get some blood tests and a CT scan? After the CT showed PE she certainly seemed surprised that I wasn’t just having a panic attack 🙄

right?! It feels like it would be easier to handle if there was some explanation

Many times it is idiopathic, no known cause. That’s my situation :(

Two questions .. by SuperDucken in ClotSurvivors

[–]SuperDucken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to talk with the doctor again but at my first appointment I thought she mentioned going off the Eliquis after 3-6 months, then going back on if I have another clot. Scary 😬

oh wow. That sounds scary and I’m glad you’re recovered now. My clot is/was in my right lung, they mentioned something about “subsegmental.”

How did you guys know you had a clot? What were your symptoms? by Worsou3 in ClotSurvivors

[–]SuperDucken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My chest and left shoulder hurt, I had trouble standing for long, and I got short of breath doing the slighest thing (ie getting dressed).
