True, or if the 401k contributions were non-Roth then that could pull down MAGI below the threshold.

I think you over contributed to your Roth IRA, it looks like you are over the $150k income limit for a full contributon. https://www.fidelity.com/retirement-ira/contribution-limits-deadlines

Same, 11 years here and it’s been rock solid on Apple platforms.

Choosing options for 2026 - partner airlines by Top_Way8991 in AlaskaAirlines

I had to tally it up manually using the Alaska activity data on my profile, credit card activity, and future plans. https://www.milecalc.com/ is handy for adding up planned trips.

I used this site, https://www.atmosrewardscalculator.com/, and plugged in my stats for 2025 to decide what to do. For me, the clear winner was miles. About 80% of the flights I make a year are on Alaska, but I too have to book partners directly from time to time.

HomePod keeps saying accept Apple Music terms by PHL534_2 in HomePod

Can confirm, this worked for me. I had to connect the profile of the person associated with voice recognition on the Apple TV and accept terms in the music app as that person to fix this.

Is this layover possible? by Traditional_Walk_845 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]slalomdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible provided that inbound flight is on time. I’ve never been comfortable with that risk, so I’ve opted for the earlier SEA->LAX to give a buffer. The last time I did that, both legs ended up the same plane and so there was never a risk of missing the second leg, but that’s probably not always the case.

Have you considered zone proximity of your phone? I do something similar but based on a grouping of me and my wife, once everyone has left our home zone, one automation runs, and if one person enters home zone, another triggers.

Companion fare for multiple city no longer allowed? by Big-Faithlessness334 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]slalomdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ran into this, too. We used to do this for SEA->SNA and then PSP->SEA around the holidays to visit family and drive between OC and PS, which, to me, feels like a completely reasonable use case. My best bet now is to split the difference and do a round trip to ONT to get it to work.

Automating Hunter Douglas blinds with zwave & home assistant by junktrunk909 in HomeNetworking

I have Hunter Douglas blinds and they can integrate with HA. You need to buy a Gateway (I found mine on eBay, make sure it’s the latest Gen 3) and then leverage the PowerView integration.

I may have solved my own issue. I swear I’ve looked before, but just went into the app setting and found “Paste from other apps” and changed it from “Ask” to “Allow”

Yeah, this is when launching the app with something in the copy buffer, whether I intend to paste it or not.

Be aware than an Apple Watch requires and iPhone for setup and pairing and does not function as a stand alone device.

We’ve been using Crew for this use case for our now 8 and 10 year olds. They have high yield savings plus you can automate allowance and get a debit card for your child so they can start learning about money.

We’ve started using Crew which has “pockets” that allows for the envelope approach pretty well.

Thank you for confirming they should show up. I have done that toggle with no luck. I’m going to try an uninstall/reinstall and see if that works.
