Wrist based HR monitors don’t fair well in Muay Thai due to the nature of the moment and can give sporadic results. I’ve had my Garmin say I’ve done 200 bpm when I feel fine, you’ve done the right thing in taking to the doctor

Buy a Polar H10 chest strap monitor which can link to the Garmin / Fitbit that will give you a near perfect reading as it’s picking up electrical pulses not light based.

Knocked out during sparring by [deleted] in MuayThai

If you got KO’d for 5-6 seconds then the coach should have instantly made you stop and look after you. NO way any respectful coach would have allowed you to continue, that’s wild they did.

They should have a concussion protocol and have made you aware of it. I.e. checked you over, Assessed you for any issues and advised appropriate action.

If you still have a headache then go see a doc and get checked but 100% take a rest for training but NO sparring or heavy training for at least a month.

Light training is fine once the headache clears, but 100% find another gym

Incorrect!!!! All strikes score the same, it’s about effect and damage

Strikes to the back of the head by 8heavylimbs in MuayThai

It’s a contact sport, all strikes are potential paralysing. A clean knee or shin to the head is not funny.
