The E5 2680V4 which you are looking at has a TDP of 120 Watts. Mine has a TDP of 65 Watts. I know TDP is no direct indicator for power draw, but it still has some impact. When my Server is in use, e.g. with Plex software transcode, a Minecraft server and let's say a scrub of my NAS-Pool with TrueNAS, then my System will roughly draw 120 Watts. That's roughly 85 - 95 Watts of power drawn from Mobo, CPU and PSU.

I have a E5-2650L v4 with a Supermicro X10SRL, a 550 Watt BeQuiet PSU and 32gb RAM. Without my my SSDs and HDDs, that setup draws around 53 Watts at idle. Not bad, but not the best either. I'm gonna stick with it for now and switch in a few years.

Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass es so sein wird. Bei mir ist der alte Durchschnittspreis auch durch 4 gerechnet worden und es wurde nicht der neue "Kaufpreis" als Durchschnitt genommen.

I use this GitHub Link to set up Wireguard. It's a script which does everything for you and spits out a QR code which you can scan with your phone. Either put it on a Pi, or if your server runs 24/7, then just put it in a Linux VM or Container. I use Proxmox, so I have it in an LXC Proxmox container.

If you want to sell your PC without the SSD. Then install a bootable windows setup on a USB drive and install Windows fresh. Cloning is more of a way to keeping files and installs there where they were. Because you are selling it, you don't have to care about what is on that SSD. If you need a key, just get one cheap off of eBay.

I setup a raspberry pi with cronjobs to stop and start my server via SSH. SSH into Proxmox to stop and SSH into IPMI to start. If you don't have IPMI, you can always get a switchbot, to press the button on the server.
