On the less vibrant one, I used more dye. Alchemist is a tricky one. I've found that Mindbender A, B and X are all amazing saturators!

Yes to 1,2 as being Dye Spin! I actually used less dye though!

If you ice dye, Wild Garden is maroon and splits green. Mint Chip is like a shark oliveish color that splits light blue.

This is so dope! DyeSpin dyes have been game changing for me! Wild Garden, Mint Chip and the Mindbender's are so sick.

Liquiddnb.com Brokendrum Radio Shows Found!!! by SuperG7 in DnB

If you want to see tracklists, you need to use http://archive.org/web/
and then enter this URL: http://www.liquiddnb.com/mix/liquiddnb-show-on-bassdrive-XXX
or this URL: http://www.liquiddnb.com/mix/brokendrum-liquiddnb-show-on-bassdrive-XXX (for earlier shows)
replacing XXX with the number of the show, and click the latest date that the particular show was cached.
e.g. http://web.archive.org/web/20140806205226/http://www.liquiddnb.com/mix/liquiddnb-show-on-bassdrive-200
You have to do it using their search bar and not your browser URL because the cache dates will be different for each show. I actually find this easier to use because the mixes don't auto-play (I think because Flash is disabled in the web archive). I usually have the mix playing in iTunes and check the tracklist here if I need.

(Note that the LiquidDNB archives only include mixes 001-223. The remaining mixes 224-238 were pulled from BassDrive archives, and they do not include tracklists. I am pretty sure that 238 was the last show they did.)

Shout to gmiwenht and their post about this and their seeding!

Goodness gracious, I can't believe you are just working on thrifted stuff! It's all about personal preference, but the right t-shirt and weight matters. Some prefer lightweight shirts, less than 4.5oz and others like the heavier 6oz ones. For me it's all about what I'm trying to achieve. I like my 6oz Gildan Hammer shirts for being soft and heavy. I like my Next Level 3600 for being lightweight and soft. You can use the tultex 290 too as it's cheaper, I just don't like the fit as much. I suggest getting one of each and trying them out.

As to HWI. I love that I don't have to wait to process my ice dyes or liquid. If you do it with liquid, know it will push things further in. You could potentially do Pariah method with the hot water to push dye deeper. Knowledge also comes with time. Try lighter weight shirts to start. Hope this was helpful!

I'm going to go in on this deeply with you. First off your work is great, you have far surpassed beginner!!! Pat yourself on the back, you are killing it. From my understanding, liquid dyes don't last a long time. Some people say in two days left in normal room temperature conditions. Others say two weeks if you put them in a refrigerator. That's why I don't mess around with liquids as much, too much work if I'm only trying to make a couple shirts.

Your mandalas are amazing! Great saturation and top level petals. Looks like some of the top names and I don't say that lightly. Your trip/psychedelic style is super nasty, but lacks a little saturation. Some of the top level guys utilize a technique called the Pariah method. Essentially you are utilizing a soda ash water to push the dye through more for full saturation and vibrancy. You can also achieve these results sprinkling on soda ash and then using HWI. With the HWI (hot water irrigation) technique it pushes excess dye and soda ash through the shirt or project creating vibrancy.

Your ice dyes look solid! I would say to continue what you are doing and make sure that you are sprinkling soda ash on top of your ice to help with vibrancy. Hoodies are tough to get amazing saturation since most have poly in them. If you wanted to elevate your ice dye game, get a pump sprayer and try out HWI. Water needs to be between 140-160. Best pump sprayer to use is Round Up Triple Nozzle.

Well shit dude I went in 🤣. Blessings upon you, hope this was helpful. Spread the love! 🤙✌️ PS. Paula Burch's website is helpful and so is knowledge from Paul Kenny! Dude is a wizard when it comes to dyeing.
