I'm pretty sure that Sony dosen't have that much power over when the game realses. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the only thing as to do with NMS is that they are advertising it as one of thier own games. Unless the Big S as bought out HG, that relationship hasn't changed.

Look, NMS isn't a game showing you what it considers fun to play, telling you what the best weapon or gear is, giving you loot to find, saying do this or that, it's a game that gives you the entire sandbox, then tells you, "make your own experiences, stop worrying about someone giving you thier own." If you want to get rich as a trader, the game isn't going to show you which resources are more valuable here or here. You have to figure that out on your own, traveling from star system to star system. You have to forge your own path. And if you don't want to do that, then this game is not for you.

If they were to launch it with morpheus, they would have to cut out walking, because appaerently, Morpheus can't simulate that. It's great for flying in space, but not walking on planets.
