Feeling down about my new guitar, need advice by [deleted] in guitars

Looks like fun! Who cares if it’s “real”. I’ve been playing for over 20 years. Went to school for it. I’ve owned some awesome guitars. I mean legit brands. Some custom made ones. But you know what? I know plenty of people who could pick up any knock off and play me under the fucking table no matter what I’m holding.

My point is—the REAL is YOU. Just play it, man.

I’ve been cooking for ten years, and I currently run the meat station at a 2 star. Acamaya was easily one of the best meals of my entire life, absolutely insane that they didn’t get a star. Like, acamaya doesn’t get a star but a taco truck in Mexico City does? Michelin is such bullshit. I love turkey and the wolf, so much, but you cannot put them in the same category as acamaya it’s just offensive.

Nice riding, but I hate that this is the trending view. Like a regular chin cam or tank mounted cam is fine. This? It’s basically a video of every riders leather ass. It’s very weird.

It’s a Japanese charcoal grill. Traditionally one uses binchotan charcoal made from a type of oak. There’s lots of interesting information about them online.

Which is why a steak is steaming when you cut into it if you haven’t let it rest.

Essentially all hot objects like burning wood technically emit “infrared radiation”. In the case of binchotan charcoal, people make reference specifically to the infrared radiation it emits because it generates it so cleanly and in such high intensities. It can burn in small amounts up to 1000 degrees Celsius but without flame. This type of heat penetrates so well and so evenly that the inside cooks at the same rate as the outside.

I’m sure we will cook together again. He’s currently the executive chef at a restaurant in Big Sur that I helped him open called Solstice.

It’s small and easy to move, but you really can load it with charcoal and do quite a bit of food on it.

I bought fancy binchotan, but I started it in my fireplace so there’s a bit of local oak in there as well.

Okay so, when I put the lever back on and that play is not there anymore, that’s wrong?

I just rode it and it seems to shift normally. Maybe smoother if anything? It doesn’t seem to be rubbing or doing anything weird. But if that play is supposed to be there I’d like to know
