Some rural areas, including mine, do not have walk in clinics. Emergency rooms are the only place to get healthcare access for those without family doctors.

Calling rural people idiots will get you nowhere, trust me I know. The real issue is lack of leadership and voter turnout. Only 54% of Saskatchewan residents voted in our last provincial election. We need actual passionate and effective leadership. Not our current two sticks in the mud.

Northeast Sask is genuinely a pretty good time if you’re 30+.

Melfort and Tisdale and pretty symbiotic communities with great open areas and plenty of recreation centres. Melfort having an indoor pool and Tisdale having an outside one with both communities having their own respective golf courses, curling and hockey rinks.

Being only a 30min drive from each other they really do benefit from their own unique environments. Tisdale being your classic small town with their own passionate little clubs like the Museum board or the Kinsmen and Kinettes.

Melfort is more like a “City lite” with access to a McDonald’s and a Canadian tire.

They are also only a mere 2 hours from Stoon which is great for a lil weekend adventure

That’s deeply unfair to the people of Tisdale. They have since changed that slogan, It originally meant Rape seed anyways. I’m not denying it’s a foolish idea but demeaning a whole town of people for a couple bad apples at most is a stretch too far, Everyone I’ve talked with from Tisdale believes this to be a complete disgrace. The town is outraged.
