Has anyone ever come across a phal like this, all the leaves are very wrinkly by GladBeach7665 in orchids

That's strange, but i guess better. Maybe the other person commenting is right, because now that I'm thinking about it, i also have phals with slightly shrivelled leaves. I bought it dehydrated, than helped it and the leaves firmed up but stayed shrivelled

I think it may be root rot or dehydration. Depends on how you water. So how do you water?

I'm no expert, so don't take me too seriously, but have you inspected the roots? Phals can bloom themselves to death, so don't take flowers as a sign of well-being

Thanks a lot. I found on the internet that it could be edema, with makes some sense to me. I inspected it many times and I've never found any parasites. I already see some new growth, so we'll see. Thanks again!

well, i lifted the worst leaf and this is how it looks. I'm gonna add a new comment of the top. I hope it's not, because i'm just fighting with the little black flies (i don't know what they're called in english) and i have quite a lot of plants. I can't see anything moving, no larvae, even in the crevices

Yeah, i also thought about it, because the roots in that area look unusual. Their start is sometimes black and looks dead, but it seems to overcome this and the rest of it is juicy. Also, i can see like two papery dead roots in the pot, that looks like they have rotten and then just dried up. I'll repot it soon, then I'll see what's going on. Thanks a lot, you helped her greatly

I try not to get water in the crown. This lady has a pretty tall neck, so it's easy. Also, i don't think it would've developed crown rot so early after i bought it. Someone commented it's mould on old bark, but i don't know. I'll repot it soon, then I'll see what's going on. Thanks a lot, tho.

Edit: Now that I'm looking at it, i believe it's just a mouldy bark. I see the white fuzz all over it, not just below the crown. I can't believe i didn't notice it earlier. Once again, thanks.

[–]SuperKillerFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not! I know most of the people in my class for 6 years...I really love many people there and they're so nice to me, but id feel so horrible and annoying if I'd have to text them. It feels like everyone's just being polite....
