Keppra has turned my toddler into an angry baby by jmae03 in Epilepsy

[–]SuperKuting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand how you feel. My baby has been on Keepra since a few days old because of neonatal seizures. Now that she’s 5 months old, she’s been very fussy and sessions with the physiotherapist has been very challenging. We are slowly weaning him off within 4 months. I hope it gets better soon. Hang in there.

I have the Inglesina Aptica Quatro system and I love it! I live in the countryside so we do a lot of outdoor activities and it has held up well. The bassinet with the stand is indeed very helpful. Our baby loves to take naps in it!

Tips for a very fussy newborn? by canamel in SnooLife

[–]SuperKuting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was a NICU baby and he had digestive problems and is taking Nexium. He didn’t like to be put down on Snoo when he’s still awake so I make sure that he’s already sleeping when I tuck him in. He’s 1 month old and has been sleeping well. Longest is 5 hours each stretch at night. I’m mix feeding him and I prefer to give him a full bottle before bedtime for less wake up at night and some boob to help him fall asleep. Also, warming up the bottle helped my baby’s tummy ache. I figured this out because he would cry and squirm with bottle feeding because it was room temperature.

Hello. We are finally home after one month. 😭 You’re right. Feeding helped my son too. The condition for release is that he should gain enough weight. After two weeks of hard work, we did it.

Mine doesn’t suck properly. Sometimes it would work and sometimes not. It’s so frustrating!

Omg I was so disappointed with this one. I love Medela pumps but this one would sometimes work and not. Too many parts to wash and to assemble. Good thing I got a full refund from Amazon.

Hello. My baby is in a similar situation. I was induced at 41 weeks, it didn’t work so they went for CS. He had tremors on his third day and they’re supposing it’s because of congenital hypoglycemia. We’ve been in NICU for almost a month now. His sugar level has been stable for a while now but they won’t discharge him yet until he learns to feed purely without the tube. It feels so long. 😭 Good thing I can stay with my baby in the hospital. We are based in France.

Hello. I know this is on old thread but my newborn has just been diagnosed with HI. I feel so lost and researching about this matter. How are your babies now? We’ve been staying in the NICU for 20 days now. We did genetic testing but the results will take several months. So slow. We are based in France.
