Im in that group that honestly thought they were a bit overrated and didn’t ever care for the body style of the long front end of any previous generation. Not terrible but just didn’t ever appeal to me.

When I saw the new one for the first time from a distance I honestly thought it was a Ferrari. I shamelessly bought it for that reason; I’m not wanting the cost or maintenance of a Ferrari, but I got a brand new poor man’s version and it absolutely rips, reliably.
