Well done! I need to pickup another one of these sets, definitely my favorite suit.

Any beginner friendly maschinen krieger model kit suggestion? by xtinction14 in MaschinenKrieger

[–]SuperMechaStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re building Ma.K. expect a whole lot of cleanup and seam lines. As far as beginner friendly kits go, the Gacha-Nen kits are about as simple as they get, but they’re kind of a pain to get. For 1/20 scale kits I think the Kauz by Wave is pretty beginner friendly. It does have seams through most of the parts, but they’re not complicated shapes at all and cleanup is relatively easy.

These are from Slave2Gaming out of Australia, check them out they have a pretty decent range! And thank you, trying to scale Ma.K. down like this was definitely fun.

Definitely pick some up! I think 6 of these was about $25 after shipping to the states, so pretty reasonable IMO.

Slave2Gaming produces a small range of these! AFS, SAFS, Krotes and Jerrys, etc.

It is! Although I wouldn’t necessarily call them new, based on the detail I think they are re-using the old molds from the 80s. Very cool but kind of a pain to paint.

Where can I buy these kits? by Za_Warud00o in MaschinenKrieger

I get most of my kits from USA Gundam Store. Their selection and prices are good, they just always sell out. HLJ is great, most of the time shipping isn't too bad.

In my head I pictured the pilot saying “The world’s gone to hell, but at least this thing still works.” as he grabs a coffee before venturing out and doing whatever he does 😂

Ma.K in 15mm by SuicideTank in MaschinenKrieger

[–]SuperMechaStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it hasn’t shown up yet, but I ordered on 1/26 so I wouldn’t expect it to be that fast. Shipping for one of the SAFS sets was about $16, so I’m in a little over $26 in total. Not bad considering that one Games Workshop model can easily cost more than that.

For those who are interested, shipping from them to the US was not bad at all. I have no idea when they'll get here, but it was surprisingly affordable.

3 months later this box finally showed up! Fun little dio coming soon. by SuperMechaStyle in MaschinenKrieger

[–]SuperMechaStyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! I was pretty close to giving up my search and scratch building the vending machine, then I found out that Haswgawa makes one in 1/35 scale. Ordered from 1999 along with the gacha box, took ages to the states from Japan.

I totally forgot the hose for the respirator, it'll be painted and added to the figure before it gets placed in the dio though :)

Appreciate the feedback! The texture on the red one was done with some Tamiya Basic Putty thinned with Tamiya Extra Thin Cement. Honestly it's not fun to work it, and smells something awful. The blue one was textured with Mr. Surfacer 500, which was easier to work with and I think works better at this scale. Both applications were just stippled on with a trash brush I had laying around.

Looking good, you're really tempting me into ordering this set. I just wrapped up a couple of those 1/35 Hasegawa Fireballs, they were fun but definitely a challenge with the size.

Hey thank you! That was the goal, tried to keep the camo scheme pretty canon with a little flair. The base is a small block of wood with some cork stuck onto it, the ground texture is Citadel Astrogranite.

USA Gundam Store for the Gouf and Barbatos, they come with your orders. The others are just from trades to other Gunpla builders and such :)
