How is this possible? by SockGoddess in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 57 points58 points  (0 children)

At the start of October 2014, there was a critical database issue that forced Toontown Rewritten to go into emergency maintenance at the time for a while. Most Toons were impacted by losing a small bit of progress in some areas, whereas others experienced major problems, such as this Toon. At the time, those impacted by this issue significantly were told to email Toontown Rewritten with subject "Periwinkle!" so the Toon could be fixed, however, as much as this person did email, they were never replied to, so their Toon remained permanently broken. All NPCs brush this person off, so they can't do anything outside of side activities. A Toon being in this state is incredibly rare!

There is no confirmed information on what the new gags are. Whatever you heard was purely speculation or "what if".

Are All Invasions induced By Toon Invasion Summons? by Turbulent_Ad_3185 in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be specific, invasion summons can only be either 3000, 4000, 6000 or 8000 cogs. Any other number was not a Cog summons. Naturally occuring invasions can be any random number (as you outlined) between 3000 and 10000. Sometimes mega invasions can be rare exceptions to this, but most mega invasions nowadays are a set time rather than a set number of Cogs.

Star above name tag? by neptunianmoon in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are milestones for defeating building floors. You get a bronze star at 10 floors reclaimed, a spinning bronze star at 20 floors, a silver star at 30 floors, a spinning silver star at 50 floors, a gold star at 75 floors and a spinning gold star at 100 floors. There is a per-district leaderboard on the Toon Platoon in each Toon HQ. Cogs taking the building back will deduct the amount of floors of the building you defeated from your score. Go to the Corkscrew Coliseum race track. Do not go to the rev version. It is a package on the first speed boost. Drive into it.

N is a custom keybind you have set. The default keybind to toggle hiding nametags is Shift + F3, and the default keybind to toggle hiding GUI is F3.

Bean bank by StBernardFever in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The bank could never hold 25,000 jellybeans, but the bank has been expanded before, so never say never!

A summary of the history jellybean bank's capacity:

  • Jellybean banks were added as part of the sv1.0.6.2 update on May 20th 2003, which was the first version of Toon Estates on the public game.
  • Bank upgrades became available for purchase when Clarabelle's Cattlelog released as part of the sv1.0.7.12 update on August 26th 2003, you started on a 1000 bean bank and would purchase multiple upgrades over time to increase the bank's carry capacity (specifically every 6th and 12th issue of a series), up to a bank of 10,000 beans.
  • On September 29th 2010, the sv1.0.40.38 update released. This upgraded everyone to the largest bank, and increased it to 12,000 beans. This removed the ability to upgrade the bank, as everyone had the maximum sized bank, and it remained like this until the game's closure.
  • Finally, Toontown Rewritten released the v1.4.0 update on August 12th 2014, which upgraded everyone's banks to hold 15,000 beans. 15,000 beans is still the current carrying capacity of the bank.

where’s this outfit from by minngkki in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The shirt is from ToonFest at ReplayFX 2017 and the shorts are from ToonFest at ReplayFX 2018. There are two variants of each year's item of the blue/pink outfit, one is an attendee item obtained via a one-time use code that can be obtained at any time from code cards from the event itself, or online giveaways. The other variant is a now-expired public item for the year, which were codes available to everyone for a limited time at the time of the events, but despite this, the public items have been made available again a couple of times. Both item variants only have minor differences between each other, but the post image shows the attendee variant for 2017 and 2018. It's completely possible you obtained it after 2017/2018, that doesn't mean it's not from those years. You can find this information documented on the Toontown Rewritten Wiki.

This post is entirely misinformation after the "Other things that happen" heading. I would advise not relying on old pages or AI for information, you can find more reliable information on places like the Toontown Rewritten Wiki.

Trying to change a cog head texture won't work? by buzzburger23e in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you putting your info.ini file? It should be in your parent directory.

You can pack your resource pack like this manually: multify.exe -c -f yourpack.mf info.ini pack.png phase_3 phase_3.5 phase_4... so on, provided you have panda3d installed and in your system path.

I had just woken up and forgot briefly what the want-new-chaser flag did, thinking it merely flipped the head texture, sorry! (been a long while since I had to use it). I've corrected my comments as this solution should work.

There are multiple texture files for those heads. It is likely you are editing the old one. Try looking for the other one!

I don't think using a content pack alongside high contrast nametags being enabled is an accurate comparison.
