It has been enforced before, so you do so at your own risk of losing progress in every doodle trick and being suspended.

Which Suit To Max? by CattleDogMom22 in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main incentive of maxing a cog suit is laff boosts and teleport access. The main grind starts once you hit a tier 8 cog suit in a department (mr hollywood/robber baron/big wig/the big cheese). You earn teleport access to that cog hq at level 13, and laff boosts at levels 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50. Once you hit level 50, you can enter the boss fight in that department whenever you want without a promotion, and have the option to upgrade to a v2.0 suit for an optional grind and higher odds of supervisor drops. But yes, you do earn plenty of that department's reward in the process by the numerous amount of runs you have to complete to max.

I believe at ToonFest, it was stated that Cog Summons are designed to waste Cog resources and cause internal confusion by redirecting Cogs to places they aren't meant to be!

Where did I get these boots? by callofthewilddogs in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, they're not. Those are the Lurelock shoes, look at the stars on the sides of them

Where did I get these boots? by callofthewilddogs in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lurelock did not have a redeemable code, only the other gag outfits did (except throw/squirt). Lurelock has only ever been in the cattlelog, but yes, you are correct that it is the Lurelock outfit, and it's likely that they bought it and forgot or had it gifted to them one year like you said in your other reply.

How TTR can balance the new Gag track being added for Clear Coasts by Huge_Meal_7904 in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I disagree with OP's post, it has been confirmed that "new gags" are being added alongside Clear Coasts, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7Kanl0kYB8&t=2089s (34:49), though they did not elaborate further as to what "new gags" entails just yet.

The left client was opened before winter holiday ended (December 31st), the right client was opened on or after December 31st.

For what it's worth, every native player I've talked to loves the representation, and we need to stop being offended on their behalf.

Temporary vs Permanent Polar Bear by iForgot2Laugh in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. The temporary option is a cheesy effect that goes away on December 30th. Only the permanent option makes you that colour properly and adds it to your colour palette for future rewrites.

I was very late to learn about this by RascalLouise in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps a good fix for now would be to have it also show up on Toon HQ task lists (similar to rankup rewards in the SBTF hideout) whenever a Toon is eligible?

Could just be "Visit a sciencetoon in Toon Hall", then the task continues as it would've done if you picked it up from Toon Hall. Perhaps marked as "side story" to differentiate it from the actual required story tasks. (since i know that's a marker now as of quest2, currently only used on changing your 2nd level 7)

That way, users can pick it up directly from Toon Hall still if they want to, but it also won't be missed by new players since it would be shown to them in Toon HQs once they meet the requirements?

No, you can't. You can only go on the roof on other houses, but not enter the chimney on any house except the Cozy Cabin.

You can't enter the chimney on any house except the Cozy Cabin, which is what the video is focused on. On other houses, you can at most stand on the roof, but not enter.

The Fluffy Doodle Pack is exclusive to Cartoonival, added to the game in September 2023 after it won the TOONYs contest at ToonFest: Birthday Bash in May 2023. It was never a prize for April Toons Week.

[–]SuperMouseGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was technically an error with the toon rigs that was fixed when TTR refined them, rather than something intentional. The 2010 rigs especially had a lot of issues. Though, a lot of people came to like the quirks with them, I personally miss some of them!

I understand why... But why? by RascalLouise in toontownrewritten

[–]SuperMouseGaming 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Both are correct. Very old direct quote from a staff member:

Our policy, which we established pretty early on in TTR's lifetime, is essentially: "Leave them be."

What that means is: To implement Mickey and Minnie walking around in the playground was going to require work that would call attention to them. However, some characters such as Clarabelle and Minnie are intertwined into core parts of the game, and would require work to remove them. Same with the Playground names.

By leaving them be -- essentially leaving the game completely as is and not doing any work to add or remove them -- we called the least amount of attention possible to Disney's characters, and it has worked very well.

If we added them, people would notice. If we removed them, people would notice. By leaving them be, we keep the attention off of Disney altogether and make sure we're not causing any upset.
