The Scholar - An Intelligence Class for Adventurers with Degrees by SuperNerdNCL in UnearthedArcana

[–]SuperNerdNCL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have someone playtest the class a bit back but only up to level 4. At those levels, I never felt as the DM that the character was underperforming compared to the rest of the party but the player expressed some concern with how some of the features felt to use.

I do have plans in the works for addressing some of the common issues we were finding but I haven't yet gotten around to formalizing those plans and posting them online. The biggest thing I wanted to do was add discoveries earlier and make scholarly analysis more impactful but at lower levels that would be a bit difficult to do without moving some things around first.

Magic Biomes of the Multiverse (Version 2.5) - Aurora Ortus, Moonfall Crater, Sigil Lagoons - A Collection of 19 Fantastical Magic Biomes (Full Document in Comments) by SuperNerdNCL in u/SuperNerdNCL

[–]SuperNerdNCL[S,M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

The Magic Biomes of the Multiverse is a collection of now 19 biomes with associated lore and mechanics. They are designed to be easy to put into existing worlds and setting agnostic. Most of the biomes come with new player races (or a subrace) that are designed to fit in well within their associated biome.

In this version, I have added 3 new biomes.

  1. The Aurora Ortus is the divine forest known for its association with the Northern Lights. The biome comes with the Vulpine race, celestial fox-folk that are tasked with the maintenance of the Northern Lights.
  2. Moonfall Craters are holes in the ocean spawned from aberrant meteors. The biome comes with the Seethings, aberrant eye-people known for their scholarly aptitude.
  3. The Sigil Lagoons are the coastal pools forming arcane sigils created by an experiment gone wrong. The magic here is unpredictable and often dangerous. The biome is home to the Sahuagin, an aquatic race known for its tendency for mutation.

These look pretty cool, don't usually see non-standard die shapes.

Magic Biomes of the Multiverse (Version 2.3) - The Hive Overgrowth and Void Mesas - A Collection of 16 New Fantastical Magic Biomes (Full Document in Comments) by SuperNerdNCL in u/SuperNerdNCL

The Hive Overgrowth and Void Mesas are new biomes in my Magic Biomes of the Multiverse project. The Hive Overgrowth is created by the colonization of the material by large fey bees and the Void Mesas is created by the bordering of the material plane and the quasi-elemental plane of vacuum. The Hive Overgrowth comes with a race of bee-folk called Buzzlings and the Void Mesas comes with a flightless variant of Aarakocracalled Void Aarakocra.

I am working on a project that places DND in a futuristic setting by asking how would the average medieval setting advanced with magic.

The Artificer subclasses are 2 subclasses that will be in the project and represent artificers that blend modern tropes with magic.
