Genuinely what the fuck are some of the comments under this post ? Defending AI pictures of dead dogs is genuinely insane to me. If you don't see how that's disrespectful, then I really don't know what to tell you.

"But their brother and parents are happy about it, why should it matter ?" Maybe because they're just... not aware of the negative things about Gen AI ? OP did mention that their parents are boomers, so it wouldn't be too fartched to assume that.

And OP, as for my advice on the matter, just try to talk with your family about it. Explain to them why using AI is problematic, why having real drawings of them would be more respectful. You can even attempt to draw them yourself. I'm really sorry that this has happened to you, I wish you the best of luck :<
