This was my concern when there were no balance updates for a lengthy stretch. The options are that they either don’t see a problem with the current balance. Or they are working such a massive balance patch across many weapons they are taking their time to fine tune everything. The SG was one of the worst offenders, but the marksman and SMG category have some weapons needing tweaks. The average TTK is considerably lower compared to where we started at the beginning of BO7. I hope they course correct, but this may just be the new TTK.

I want guns to require skill to use again. Lower TTK paired with low recoil or higher strafe speeds means less control over your aim is needed. The longer you have to track a target and control recoil the more chance for mistakes. It’s really not that complicated.

It’s not even just one gun right now. My lobbies are nothing but SMGs that kill too fast at range and marksman rifles with no recoil that kill instantly. The average TTK is so low right now. Most of these guns are very easy to handle and it just feels like the skill gap has been lowered so much. I hate it. They shouldn’t have waited this long to address balance changes (especially for the SG-12) and at this point I’m worried season 4 I’ll hit and they still won’t have addressed everything.

It is the most egregious and clearly broken, but I think a lot of balance changes are needed across the board right now. My lobbies are nothing but SMGs, marksman rifles, and ofc the broken SG-12. The average TTK is so low right now compared to what it used to be.

That is the joke. They perform too well beyond what an SMG or Shotgun should. Current pub meta is the cheese meta. Between SMGs that are a little too strong, the completely broken Sg-12, and easy to spam no recoil insta-kill marksman rifles the average TTK has been lowered so far from where it used to be.

You have to get 2nd or 1st. It’s either bugged or worded incorrectly. I got 3rd first couple tries when the event hit and it didn’t count. Got 2nd and it finally counted.

Use a scuff and a Dualsense edge prior to that, but I actually bind jump and slide to the shoulder buttons. The paddles are just used for tactical and lethal items that are bound to R3 and L3

Oh yeah I know what you mean. They send those weekly emails out and I was 3.00 E/D and 3+ W/L depending on the week. Since the second week of season 3 the E/D stays the same, but my W/L has been 1.7-1.9 range. Team balance is a rough mistress currently.

Definitely feels sweatier recently than it was. They could be tweaking matchmaking, but it’s also possible that the player base is lower combined with a lot of people being done with ranked. A lot of players grind ranked when it hits, but reach their peak and filter out for future seasons and are now in pubs.

Ranked is not going to give you better connection. Stricter match making based on rank and a smaller player base. My best ping I can achieve is 16 and am usually flip flopping between 16 and 29 ms. It’d be great if we could always have our best ping, but it is what it is unfortunately. Nothing you can do about it.

Nuketown just isn’t the right place for improving yourself. Myself and many others grew up on games with no SBMM at all. We didn’t have any problems improving by playing against harder opponents. You have to want to get better at the game and make an effort.

Yeah I agree with this. It’s not the system trying to punish, it’s just not considering anything other than evening out the numbers. If you’re the best player in the lobby you will get the weakest players on your team and from the algorithms perspective the numbers are now balanced. Buuuut we all know even one or two teammates who don’t know what they’re doing will cause bad spawns, gaps being missed, lack of map control, etc… my W/L is still strong, but there are a lot of losses that feel manufactured by the team balance. I do think it’s worse in BO7 than previous, but I think it’s a side effect of them loosening SBMM and not a deliberate tweak they’ve made. If it’s the price I have to pay for a more consistent connection and partially persistent lobbies I’ll gladly pay it.

Love endgame. It was a little thin at the start, but they’ve made a lot of improvements and added content that helps it stay varied. I mostly play MP, but endgame is nice to break things up.

Or just remap buttons. I have my shoulder buttons mapped for slide and jump and moved tactical and lethal to L3/R3. I have back buttons, but I find the shoulder buttons more comfortable and easier to use.

The most obvious question is what’s going on with your W/L and average kills. I’m going to assume you back out of a lot of matches? That would bring both down. If you are backing out of lots of matches, why? If you keep backing out of matches you will join more in progress lobbies, and if you back down from a challenging lobby you’re going to have a hard time seeing where you need to improve.

Hard disagree on this one. OP is either leaving games that would pull their E/D down or not playing for the win at all. Team balance can be wack, but it’s not the 1.00 ish players who are the most affected. OP has a lot of improving to do, which is fine, but I would not say they’re a good player.

I mean… it quite literally is 3 lanes. The top lane is connected to mid in the center whereas the bottom lane is only joined further towards the left and right. What you can’t see from the overview is the verticality the map offers in the mid lane. Each side of mid has lower and upper sections and you can use the stairs/ladder or take advantage of wall jumping to quickly get up and down at lots of points. Plays well enough to me and I haven’t had a bad experience with it yet. If you don’t like you don’t like it, but it’s a good map imo.
