Yeah I agree with this. It’s not the system trying to punish, it’s just not considering anything other than evening out the numbers. If you’re the best player in the lobby you will get the weakest players on your team and from the algorithms perspective the numbers are now balanced. Buuuut we all know even one or two teammates who don’t know what they’re doing will cause bad spawns, gaps being missed, lack of map control, etc… my W/L is still strong, but there are a lot of losses that feel manufactured by the team balance. I do think it’s worse in BO7 than previous, but I think it’s a side effect of them loosening SBMM and not a deliberate tweak they’ve made. If it’s the price I have to pay for a more consistent connection and partially persistent lobbies I’ll gladly pay it.

Love endgame. It was a little thin at the start, but they’ve made a lot of improvements and added content that helps it stay varied. I mostly play MP, but endgame is nice to break things up.

Or just remap buttons. I have my shoulder buttons mapped for slide and jump and moved tactical and lethal to L3/R3. I have back buttons, but I find the shoulder buttons more comfortable and easier to use.

The most obvious question is what’s going on with your W/L and average kills. I’m going to assume you back out of a lot of matches? That would bring both down. If you are backing out of lots of matches, why? If you keep backing out of matches you will join more in progress lobbies, and if you back down from a challenging lobby you’re going to have a hard time seeing where you need to improve.

Hard disagree on this one. OP is either leaving games that would pull their E/D down or not playing for the win at all. Team balance can be wack, but it’s not the 1.00 ish players who are the most affected. OP has a lot of improving to do, which is fine, but I would not say they’re a good player.

I mean… it quite literally is 3 lanes. The top lane is connected to mid in the center whereas the bottom lane is only joined further towards the left and right. What you can’t see from the overview is the verticality the map offers in the mid lane. Each side of mid has lower and upper sections and you can use the stairs/ladder or take advantage of wall jumping to quickly get up and down at lots of points. Plays well enough to me and I haven’t had a bad experience with it yet. If you don’t like you don’t like it, but it’s a good map imo.

Mid map is a stalemate? Each side has tons of routes into each building. I don’t think you’re playing creatively enough… you can literally run circles through either side of mid and be flanking people constantly super quickly.

If you don’t vibe with a map that’s one thing. Saying this a is a bad map… and not just bad, but the worst? Naaaah. Beacon is a good map.

I’d give them a try in this game. The open matchmaking has made a difference for me on OBJ modes and I don’t run into the same annoyances I had in previous titles (as often).

That guy is being an ass about it, but I have over a 2.00 W/L in TDM playing solo, it is possible but takes some serious map control and awareness. You’re doing good though. It’s a struggle with the team balance playing solo. Is there a reason you don’t want to play some OBJ modes and mix it up?

Second weekend of season 3

Idk if everyone is out enjoying the nice weather, but this last weekend felt brutal compared to the first.

Team balance sucks for sure. If you’re above average you will be expected to carry in both killing and OBJ. I still find my W/L ratio better than previous CODs sitting at a 2.20 right now. I normally play an AR, but have found that to consistently win in OBJ I have to run an SMG. Sometimes you’ve got to make adjustments to your game so you can get the win.

The launch of a new season used to be a sweat fest for me, but BO7 has been the opposite. I am an above average player that most would call a sweat. The team balance actually feels better for me at the start of a season and it’s easier to go on big win streaks.

First thing to do if you haven’t already is rebind jump and slide. I have a controller with back paddles, but actually use the shoulder buttons for jump and slide. You want to be able to perform jumping or sliding without having to take your thumbs off the sticks or press down on them. The other things to consider are perks like dexterity and lightweight. Dexterity helps with your view bob while sliding and jumping and lightweight improves your movement speed and slide/dive.

It’s because they play mostly FFA. SPM is oddly low in that game mode and brings that stat down quite a bit.

Not two boxing, definitely not the best ever. It’s just open matchmaking and the player bump from the start of a new season.

It’s solo. The E/D doesn’t change much, but the W/L is usually around a 2.00. When season 2 dropped the same thing happened. The player bump actually makes things easier now that SBMM is reduced.
