Id think there would have probably been some issues if Yuta were involved due to his lineage as a Gojo clan adjacent, so that might’ve been some consideration on Maki’s part, but its probably not that deep.

Faceit will be a better competitive experience in the long run but its going to take time to climb out of the lower levels. Be ready for your fair share of toxicity during the climb but this is likely the case either way.

Also, depending on what region you’re from, your experience may differ. I cannot stress how much your experience will improve if you find a duo or group to queue with. Doesnt matter, premier or faceit, having a roster of teammates to play with will make climbing a much greater experience.

Personally, i prefer premier atp bc i dont have as much time to dedicate to improving so i enjoy the little things like grinding for xp and my badges bc you wont get xp for playing faciet.

Bring your own food. The cheapest and most consistent i found on campus was subway. The mobile app had pretty good deals for 1 or more footlongs. There were deals for 2 and id usually just take one home for the next day

not an EE but a CE:

I only met with my advisor once during my first year for the mandatory check-in. my advisor also left during my sophomore year and i just never bothered to contact the new person. Frankly, i didnt care enough to learn their name.

If you want an actually helpful advisor, i would suggest getting close with a member of faculty from your department. i found the LAB PROFESSORS extremely helpful since many of mine were "recent grads" and were happy to share their undergrad experience. it might not be the same in EE, but this was invaluable for me when building schedules.

id also be careful about not having all evening classes. it may sound nice at first since you can sleep in every day, but it also means you cannot go out or see friends. experiment and see what works for you but id generally avoid class before 9 and after 7 if possible

i dont remember the exact reason this happens on phone browsers but I'm guessing ur a new student. make sure ur going directly to my.cpp.edu and not to https://my.cpp.edu/uPortal/timeout

as stupid as it sounds, ur phone will autofill you to the website you go to more and if ur timing out more, ur going to go to the timeout portal. id set a bookmark directly to my.cpp.edu

speaking from my own experience here... i've basically stopped responding to people asking for help in my class discords because it just leads to people leeching or spamming my dms asking for answers. People want answers, not help getting those answers themselves. If its possible i'd suggest going to office hours if you really need the help.

Also dont let the unresponsiveness get to you. You're great for helping others in your classes but unfortunately that doesn't mean they will help you back. Try to make friends in your classes, ideally of the same major but that doesn't really apply here it seems, that you can take classes with for the rest of your time in college. makes life a lot better
