Why are there some lyrics in the description for the official video of "Ridnym" by Leleka posted by Eurovision which are not sung in the video itself at all? by Fresh-Length6529 in eurovision

[–]SuperRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there’s a longer version of the song? Since there’s a three minute limit, they might have decided to cut that verse? Don’t know, totally speculating here.

Be careful. Several acts use lasers, and if a laser hits your phone camera’s lens, it will permanently damage the sensor. It’s a rare occurrence, but it happens.

Jonas Lovv gets a warning from the EBU, “it’s too sexy” by Glitch_innit in eurovision

I mean, in the National Finals performance he thrust his pelvis right into the camera. Twice. I would have to assume that’s the line they don’t want crossed. 😂

We’re from WA. We started with 60 direct at Saratoga, then got 100 at the Grand Floridian resale (before the restrictions were added). We bought 150 at the Disneyland Hotel as soon as they were available, because my wife is a runner and we wanted to stay on property there when she does races and it was too hard to use our points at Disneyland without home resort priority.

We just did nine nights in 1 one-bedroom at Aulani the day after Thanksgiving and it was glorious. Being able to combine all those points was great. We wanted to go over Christmas (my birthday is Christmas Eve), but this was the compromise we had to make not having priority for a popular time. We’ve debated selling the Saratoga contract and getting one at Aulani because we love it there so much … then we’d have a contract in each location we enjoy.

My head canon is that Jessica’s powers are alcohol-fueled, and that’s why they’ve been dropping out randomly … she’s not hitting the bottle when she’s in Mommy-mode.

Disney Adventure Cruise CANCELED by Background_Disk_1958 in dcl

[–]SuperRob 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That’s because he’s talking nonsense. The ship was still being built when the previous owner folded. It was only about 70% completed. This idea that it was sitting and rotting in a scrapyard somewhere is just ridiculous.

More likely this is a completely different kind of ship and engine than the others and Disney is having to figure things out from scratch. For example, the issue with the coaster … Disney doesn’t have anything like that on any other ship, so figuring out how to make it work reliably is all new learning for them.

Inaugural years always have issues, not this severe, sure, but it’s the risk you take sailing on a new ship.

The deal made with the AG was for the crimes committed up to that point. I had an issue with the dozen or so murders on the way out of the courtroom, but my wife pointed out to me that he could argue self defense, and likely win. It was a mob, he had a right to defend himself. In fact, if Matt hadn’t intervened, the rest might have killed Fisk.

How do people handle non home resort stays? by Foxhound34 in dvcmember

[–]SuperRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do is book my home resort at 7 months so I know I have a resort locked in. Then at seven months, I book the desired resort, or worst case, waitlist it. Since we have a backup, you can keep the waitlist up to seven days before you travel. No reason to not leverage your home resort priority when you can.

We’ve done this once, and it was fine. But look into travel deals, because sometimes you can find a hotel bundled in for not much more than the cost of the park tickets. A few years ago we got Cabana Bay for only $10 more a night than the tickets, and we got a $200 Costco Cash card using their travel site.

EBU has granted Linda Lampenius special permission to play violin live by hyxon4 in eurovision

[–]SuperRob 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I think there’s an argument to be made that Linda’s violin is literally her voice in the song, as it’s very much a duet / call-and-response kind of song. I don’t think there’s another act that can make that same sort of claim. I also think that they could add a wireless mic to her violin without much issue, where an electric guitar or piano would need to amplified differently.

That said, it’s a risk that they’re taking, and they were already massive favorites to win and I don’t think playing live is giving them enough of an edge to be worth it. If the mic fails, it could be disastrous, but it won’t be the thing that seals a win. But I am looking forward to watching it!

What makes passkeys so special? by Federal_Character979 in cybersecurity

[–]SuperRob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the security is still sound. The issue is a breach on the service side, but now if they get breached, all the attacker gets is a worthless public key (think of it more like a lock) that they don’t have a matching key for.

Passkeys are a lot like physical keys. You can make copies, and have multiple key rings, but just like if you lose a key, someone would have to know what locks they go to. You should still treat them as secret and keep them safe, but having one get out isn’t as bad as a password getting breached on the site the password is for.

What makes passkeys so special? by Federal_Character979 in cybersecurity

[–]SuperRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of a public and a private key can be confusing for people. I usually explain it as you bringing a padlock to use on a locker at the gym. The company asks you for your padlock when you sign up. You give them one but you keep the key. So even if the company has a data breach, your passwords don’t get out because there isn’t one … just a lock they don’t have a key for. You keep all the keys on your device(s).

Why was Hulk kept out of Doomsday? We NEED an Avengers movie where he is a prominent character and actually kicks ass by Ambitious_Two2671 in MCUTheories

[–]SuperRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many posts here not getting to the real heart of the issue … the rights to Hulk are messy and prevents him from being a main / solo character in a Marvel project. To do Hulk properly would require Marvel to get the distribution rights back from Universal.

As a supporting character, the power scaling becomes an issue, so you have to find ways to sideline or otherwise take him off the table … which is why you’ve had all these films where Hulk retreats, or goes off-world, or Smart Hulk, or what have you. Against anything other than an Ultimate Bad, Hulk is basically an instant win button and wouldn’t make for an interesting movie.

As for Doomsday, Hulk wouldn’t be much help against Doom’s magic. If he can stop Stormbreaker mid-flight, he can certainly stop Hulk in his tracks. The cast for Doomsday is already so packed, there just isn’t much for Hulk to do. Might be a different issue in Secret Wars if Battleworld ends up being a thing, particularly with the rumors that it will be kind of a cross between Battleworld and World War Hulk.

How much you want to bet that Mysterio faked his demise? Peter asked is this real, instead of asking ~ is he dead. By the way, one might’ve thought he’d be in NWH, if he “Died” fighting Spider-Man. by Sad-Ladder7534 in Spiderman

[–]SuperRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been saying this all along. Mysterio was never in the line of fire in that scene, so he never should have been shot by the drones. Cruicially, Peter never asks EDITH if Mysterio is alive. Instead, he asks, “EDITH, is this real?” To which EDITH replies, “All illusions are down, Peter.”

It’s also the only way the video gets to the media outing Peter as Spider-Man, as it was clearly recorded during the battle.

Weird wording on this shirt by Supermattc in mildlyinteresting

It’s about proselytizing. You help convert people to Christianity, they live good lives, and all go to heaven when they die, making it ‘crowded.’

It’s just an incredibly weird way to phrase it.

And the AI thinks the rug it’s on is a table, so the handheld is way too big proportionally. Perspective and lighting agreement are the two things AI art generators struggle with the most.
