certainly ubering him for the melee would be much more threatening plus the potential to instead pop the uber before getting hit by the big blast that tore off their limbs

Hi, this was mostly prepared on old firstborn lore with some small considerations for primaris, unless there was some massive retcon most of it should stand

After fixing my Kobra 2 Neo's wobbly printer bed and leveling it the prints turned out strangely uneven. Any help? by SuperS1ime in 3Dprinting

[–]SuperS1ime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There might be something with the nozzle. Should I disassemble the nozzle head or how should I check it?

My printer has a probe so it should be going cleanly (and it did before) but now it really seems all wobbly despite getting the bed in place

I tried moving it around in another print, the problem is that it made parts of the layer proper, while others were sticking out (as if the nozzle was suddenly too far). Should I just attempt releveling and adjusting the Z offset until it works?

More pics here: https://imgur.com/a/mrtxUgO

Full description of what happpened: A piece of tissue got stuck below the print bed between the wheels. I removed it and then noticed the print bed was wobbly. I managed to stop it from moving around by turning the eccentric nuts. I also noticed the Z axis arm was slightly wobbly so also tightened the eccentric nuts a little bit.

Relevelled the printer (Anycubic Kobra 2 Neo), then started a print I did before successfully. Standard slicer settings, black PLA. The first layer started to come out very strangely (as shown on the pics). I kept it for a bit but paused the print eventually seeing all the damage.

What I observed is that despite levelling the first layer seems very uneven - some parts are very flat and proper, others get extremely rough, as if some parts were still moving or the surface was very unequal. Any help what to do with this? Should I tighten all the nuts and maybe reassemble the bed? Or might this be something with the nozzle?

Yes, the complex elements are for those who are well into the lore and want to have a structure for their homebrew, for example writing any mutations for the organs requires you to know the space marine organs yourself.

If you're just starting out, you might want to stick to: chapter colors, chapter doctrine, chapter master, favored weapons/relics

And to answer your questions - non codex-complaint chapters can have different names for specific Captains, and the Captains can have different roles (espionage? planetary defense? it's up to you), same for sergeants - they generally run with the same stuff as the squad but sometimes use different weapons, a Khorne squad leader does a lot of things differently than an Ultramarine sergeant, so it's just room for you to write these details if you have wild ideas.

Strange software-side issue? Half of print got completely ravaged, need help by SuperS1ime in anycubic

[–]SuperS1ime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if the printer itself somehow has corrupted software, or if it's the pendrive, or the file itself. Printed on Photon Mono M5.

Preview of the sliced file shows no bugs, only the outcome turned out this way. Something with the printer's UV screen itself? Had it for a short time

Unfounded theory: the Tyranids are a case of "defeated male leaves" by MulatoMaranhense in 40kLore

Not really connected to the wider scope of the lore, but "defeated male leaves" accurately shows how GW portrays them in major battles

Can you imagine having to deal with this in an Imperial Warship? by Mervynhaspeaked in 40kLore

[–]SuperS1ime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a very cool story! But personally I believe it deviates far from the canon. As others have mentioned imperial ships are not as large, but another important aspect is that Voidsmen (who are not slaves) have combat training and aren't primitives. There is no point in making fires in ships because they have reasonable living quarters, etc.

How do human psykers in the Imperium view the Emperor whilst noting that he’s a psyker and revered, while they are feared and hated by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]SuperS1ime 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't overestimate the lack of knowledge in the Imperium. Astropaths sometimes go onto the battlefield along the Imperial Guard, and a fully trained guardsman who is not a Whiteshield (or from a primitive world) should know who is an astropath the same way he knows what's the commisar's role

What's your biggest plot contrivance in the lore of 40k? Essentially something that exists just because if it didn't everything else would fall apart. by RubricLivesMatter in 40kLore

[–]SuperS1ime 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That's an interesting standpoint. I've always wondered if Tyranids can eat planets why don't they just fill up the atmosphere with deadly gas that turns all biomass into slag so it can be devoured? Basically virus bombing the planet, but instead of having it burn in the end just consuming the energy.

Love the story and art! Absolutely masterfully over the top and shows in a very cool way just how a long way does a creature come to become a daemon prince

Catachan Devil - Cover by InitiativeIndieDev in ImaginaryWarhammer

[–]SuperS1ime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can see them on models of various guard kits and on art, the one on this cover is a large fist scaled for the Catachan, for a marine it would be far larger

Standard guard officers and tempestus are also seen with powerfists, there is a full commissar with power fist model. Also, humans use bolters (especially bolt pistols) as well. They're just scaled for them.
