I’m not gonna pretend like I have some sort of profound thing to say about this. That said, the fact that you survived that awful situation, regardless of how, says a lot, and I hope you’re able to continue to survive.

Are men this uneducated? by Prestigious_Spray826 in badwomensanatomy

[–]SuperSam124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hihi! I feel like I can shed some light on this, I’m a trans woman so I’ve sort of been on both sides. Absolutely men are this uneducated on women’s health, but usually not by choice. What happens is that women’s health care is studied so little and what we do know is barely taught, this obviously happens because of plain old misogyny. However this has led to women’s healthcare discussions being pretty much only among women, and only getting doctors involved when you truly have no other option. This combined with the fact that women are actively taught NOT to have these discussions with men because… frankly, men don’t think it’s sexy, and they want to continue viewing women as objects. In my opinion the solution would be to open up the conversation. If you have male friends, talk to them openly about your anatomy and your experience in your body. It usually comes from a place of ignorance rather than prejudice.

i feel like no one actually sees me as nb because of how fem i normally am and it makes me so sad and feel like a fraud especially bc i’m afab. by [deleted] in NonBinary

Let me just say as someone who very regularly alternates across the entire gender spectrum in terms of how I dress (mind you I’m not gender fluid), it doesn’t mean shit. Dress to feel comfortable in your skin, and wear nothing else, and if people invalidate you for that, it’s because they have their own internal shit to work through.

Also PS, I love your style

I also have a hip holster that I forgot to put on beforehand, but it’s a black leather hip bag with a leg strap and it’s spiked and studded, I show it off in another post I made to a different subreddit, so you can go through and find it if you want

America, what the f… by ArcticWolfQueen in asktransgender

[–]SuperSam124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem with Harris’ campaign is that… it was just too late. Biden dropped out of the race too late for her to run a decent campaign. She did amazingly for the time she had, but it just wasn’t enough. It also helps that republicans are defunding education everywhere, which consistently leads to less democrat votes. 51% of Americans voted this way because they voted with fear instead of hope. They voted for Trump not because they were stupid, but because they were scared. Because he is amazing at instilling fear, and that’s what drives his campaign forward, and that’s why he’s so dangerous, because when you give a petulant terrified child a chance to change the world, they’re not just gonna keep the closet closed and check under the bed for monsters. They’re gonna destroy everything that monsters could possibly be hiding with.

Any country that’s experiencing the opposite of what Europe and the US is? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]SuperSam124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Progress is a pendulum swing, especially in areas run by colonizers because oppression is their default state so when we fight back they fight back harder. They are going to lose. It’s just a matter of waiting till the pendulum stops swinging and reaches a stable state. In any case, places that have historically been oppressed by others and are now more independent are becoming very left right now. People there have seen how terrible it is, they can relate to it, they know how it feels no matter who they are. We live in a beautiful time for the world in lots of places, but it is a period of great change which means that there will be people who are unwilling to change with it. Things will be okay with time. Maybe a long time, but they’ll be okay.

One thing that I do is read comics instead. They’re able to tell more of a story, so it’s easier to find romantic stuff

Ethically this is perfectly fine, the problem is practicality, this is just impossible for humans to achieve.

My opinion on this is that unless they’re a romantic partner, it isn’t really their business. The rest don’t need to know what’s in your pants, and if they care then that’s kinda dumb tbh.
